Fourth in the league Ware also make progress in almost every cup they enter with the London Senior and the Herts Charity being the exceptions. They make the semi-final of the Herts Senior Cup and the final of the East Anglian Cup although that is delayed until next season. Ware get through a demanding schedule of 62 games. It is a sign of things to come with larger leagues exploiting the start of the floodlight era for amateur clubs. They won't be amateur anymore either as the distinction between them and the professional game is abolished for next season.
