18 | Introduction to your SIP/ School Profile (appoximately 100 words) | North Elementary is a neighborhood school serving 500 Pre-K through 5th grade students. North Elementary School is a diverse school made of 80% Hispanic Students, 13% Black Students, 2% white, .5% Asian/Pacific Islander, 1.5% American Indian, and 2% two or more races. 75.3% percent of students are low-income, and 58% of students speak a different language at home. 17% of our population have Individualized Education Plans and 3% of our population is homeless. | |||||||||||||||

Also, North School has been lucky to offer the high interest programs like JAMS sports, ArtCore, and the Sistema Ravinia Music Program, which is completely funded by the Sistema Ravinia Program for any interested student in fourth and fifth grade. | |||||||||||||||
