| BBCalc (Bloodborne AR Calculator and Character Builder) | Instructions & Notes
| by praske /ˈpɾaskə/ | MAIN is the only sheet you really need to touch as a user. It includes: • Full stats screen with derived attributes from stats/armor/runes • Dropdowns for selecting weapons at any upgrade level, blood gems, runes, and armor • Full tables for a weapon's moveset, with stamina usage, rally, and stun level • Hunter tool/consumable damage • Damage simulation against any enemy in the game Most inputs will be in the form of dropdown lists, marked with a downwards triangle/arrow on the right side of the cell. Base stats and Insight just take a number, and are marked in blue. Your build's optimal Origin is determined by which one will have the lowest Blood Level with your desired stats. If a desired stat is left empty (or lower than the Origin's), the calculator will default to the Origin's starting stat. Derived attributes and resistances are listed to the right. Max HP as a summoned Phantom (that is, with a 30% penalty) is given in parentheses. Armor and runes are easily selected with dropdown menus, and runes include their effects for ease of use. You cannot select duplicates, and the Beast Embrace/Milkweed changes to Beast Claw/Kos Parasite movesets are accounted for. Miscellaneous stats includes HP/Stamina regen, Visceral damage, and online level ranges. HP regen/drain is per every 3 seconds, which is the rate for all Pulsing gems. The Logarius Wheel's L2 buff drains HP every 0.1 sec and Corruption rune heals every 2 sec, but these are scaled to match the 3 second rate.
| This spreadsheet lets you set up builds in Bloodborne. I've crammed as many features in here to give the most comprehensive overview of everything you can do in a build.
| Almost all the information in this sheet was taken directly from v1.09 params using foxyhooligans' param sheet (linked below) and verified by extensive in-game testing. Stat scaling factors are replicated by doing the CalcCorrect formulas directly within the sheet instead of pulling rounded values from the wiki. There's still a handful of combinations that are off by 1 (because of, I assume, floating point imprecision), but I've ironed out as much as I can.
| Shout out to /u/TalentedJuli who made their own build planner a few years ago, which served as the inspiration for this one, and a huge thank you to the Tomb Prospectors Discord and the wiki for all their help in supplying information and verifying some of the jankier things in Bloodborne.
| Sheets | ||||||
| Most sheets are used to store and calculate data to be referenced in MAIN. They are all formatted and organized to be mostly human-readable, so they can also double as reference sheets of your own if you so choose.
| Info | You are here. | |||||
| MAIN | The primary sheet, designed with user input.
| GemComp | Gem loadout comparison to help find the optimal setup for any given weapon and attack.
| Origin | Stats for every Origin. Used as reference data and to determine optimal Origin for a given build.
| Armor | Stats and icons for every piece of armor, sorted by name and categorized by head/chest/arm/legs.
| Runes | Reference data for every rune.
| RHdata | Reference data for right-hand (primary) weapons, including base stats, scaling, rally amount, gem slots, and moveset values.
| RHcalc | Calculations for primary weapon AR and movesets. | this project is (effectively) abandoned. not much motivation left for it. also elden ring. if anyone wants to take over and finish it, be my guest, just credit me.
| LHdata | Reference data for left-hand (secondary/offhand) weapons.
| LHcalc | Calculations for offhand weapon AR and "moveset" (mostly bullet damage over distance) data.
| gemdata | Reference data for blood gems, with both displayed and actual values (which, if you didn't know, are very different).
| gemcalc | Calculations for selected blood gems, limiting gem selection to prevent invalid combinations, and determining the best farming area.
| enemydata | Reference data for enemies. Includes HP, defenses, and enemy types.
| enemycalc | Calculations for the damage simulator.
| Tools/ Consumables/ Buffs | Data for Hunter tools (Augur of Ebrietas, Executioner's Gloves, etc.) and consumables (molotovs, knives, pebbles). Also handles selection for temporary buffs like Fire/Bolt Paper, Empty Phantasm Shell, and the Logarius Wheel's L2 buff. | The plan was to revamp the enemycalc with better formula setup, finish off LH section and work on the layout for hunter tools/consumables, then work on a blood gem comparison sheet to work out best setups and all that.
| ref | Miscellaneous values for reference in other sheets. Derived attributes from base stats, scaling factors for weapons/tools, shared icons for damage types/stats/gem slots/etc.
