1		HAREI BOM Spreadsheet Instructions
2		This spreadsheet is designed to communicate your Bill of Materials (BoM), and put it out for competitive bid.

4		Italicized values are estimates that should be checked for your installation.

6		Follow these steps:

8	1	Make a copy of this spreadsheet document by either:
9			Make a new Google Sheet like this one by using the menu File -> Make a copy... (preferred). You will need to use a Google [gmail] account for this - they are free.
10		or	If you prefer, use the menu "File -> Download as... " to get an Excel or Open Office spreadsheet; we can convert it back later.
11	2	Rename your document using your last name as the document name
12	3	Fill in the number of panels (C2)
13			Copy the first 3 colums from your Generic Solar Estimator.
14			If you don't know the exact model of the panel you will use in your design put in the size 60 / 72 / 96 cell and desired Wattage
15	5	Fill in the number of branch terminators (C6)
16			This value depends on the number of branch segments you will have in your system. For the IQ8A used in this example, the maximum is 11 panels per segment but that may not be optimal and will differ for other inverter models

18	7	Fill in the mounting section with the mounting parts you will need based on the Bill of Materials generated by the IronRidge Design Tool

20			We strongly recommend ordering at least a couple extra of any small parts like the mounting feet, end and mid clamps, and grounding lugs. They're easy and frustrating to lose.
21			If you are doing a ground mount, the IronRidge tool will specify the alternative connectors you need to replace the roof mounts, and the locally purchased structural components
22	8	Review the order sheet with your HAREI mentor, and reach out to info@harei.org to reach our Vendor Liaison to get your BoM out for bid.
