*Everyone who had a staff role is invited to make a financial request, if desired. They can do so at two levels: "baseline" and "ideal." The pool of funding allocated to satisfy staff requests will first be used to meet the baseline level for all who have made such requests, with any excess then going towards the "ideal" level. Within each level, funds are allocated pro-rata according to the relative size of the requests being made. If more funding is received than is required to meet the ideal level, the remainder is allocated to the projects and participant dividends.
42
43
Distribution among projects
44
There is a three-step process for allocating the share of financial contributions designated for project support:
45
July: project support requests are submitted by Now What?! participants
46
August 1-7: 1-5 projects are selected by Now What?! participants as being eligible for receiving a share of the funding proceeds, based on an average of at least $300/project being available in the pool [using the Codigital platform]
47
August 8-15: Now What?! participants allocate the funding pool among the eligible proposals [using the Cobudget platform]
48
49
Distribution among participants (the "Participant Dividend")
50
All Now What?! participants are invited to request a dividend. Once the funding pool has been gathered, the portion allocated to the dividend will be divided up pro rata among all those requesting a share.
