West Coast Blues, Vocalist is Herbie Herbert. A lot of tracks are pretty mellow, swingy

Good guitar player; vocals so-so. Self-penned lyrics suck.

More Charley Patton. Sims does fiddle on Patton's songs, when there's fiddle, Patton does guitar on Sim's Songs

YEEHAW! No, seriously. This has some fun songs, "Thunderhead Hawkins" is Jr.'s blues name & blues songs are credited as such in the liner notes. Also some country/blues, not to be confused with country blues.

Track 2 is the clean-edit version. This is kinda haughty-folk, catchy hook. Too much whiskey in the vocals.

Out There LiveDar WilliamsFolkRazor and Tie2001CD2,6,10,11,12/13, 14,18
SIGNED ALBUM! Dar's live album is comprehensive and...I think it must have been Razor and Tie's idea. We all know these are great, spirited, confessional songs. We've all seen and been delighted by Dar's quirky, intelligent stage presence. But these songs are altogether lacking in enthusiasm and, in my opinion, if you love them, play the studio version

All instrumental, great stuff. His guitar skill is very impressive. Play!!!

NectarBrooks WilliamsBlues, RockSignature Sounds2003CD3,5,9, 10
Williams' 11th record - Williams is perhaps best known for his instrumentalism - his songwriting makes use of some jazz forms, his lyrics are reflective but - well, nothing to crow about. This album is produced with some organ/electric guitar/drum components which, in my opinion, don't enrich the music much. Williams is a talented musician but may be a bit too aspy for the soul music
