3
A clean, self-adding template for estimating the cost of moving and living abroad.

How to use this workbook: **Click File -> Make a Copy or File -> Download to Your Computer**
6
1. Open the tabs at the bottom in order: 1. Pre-Departure → 2. Travel & Arrival → 3. Monthly Cost of Living.
2. Type your own numbers into the shaded yellow cells only. Every 'Total' and the Summary tab update themselves — you never type a total by hand.
3. The Summary tab pulls the headline numbers from all three tabs into one view.
4. The sample numbers already in the sheets are just examples of the expected format — overwrite them with your own.

Yellow fill / blue number — You edit these — your inputs.
12
Grey row — A calculated Total. Do not type here; it sums the section for you.
13
Green number — A link that pulls a total from another tab (Summary).
14
Plain black number — A calculation. Leave it alone.

Adding your own line items
17
Need a category we didn't list? Click on the greyed '…add items above this line' row inside any section and Insert a row there. Because that spare row sits inside the section's SUM, your new line is captured in the Total automatically.

About taxes (read me)
20
The Monthly Cost of Living tab converts taxes to a fair monthly figure for you: it divides an ANNUAL tax by 12, a QUARTERLY tax by 3, and takes a MONTHLY tax as-is, then adds them. Enter each amount on the line that matches how you actually pay it — don't pre-convert.

Good to know
23
Every 'Total' adds itself up and the Summary tab totals all sections automatically, so the figures always reconcile. Just fill in the yellow cells.
