"Ed Trust TN Position" denotes our advocacy position on a given bill, indicating our interpretation of a legislative proposal's ability to promote educational justice and equity in Tennessee. Our positions span a variety of categories: Under Review, Watch, Oppose, Support, or No Position and are color-coded according to the key. Note: "Watch" bills denote any legislative proposals that require additional monitoring or future analysis of pending, currently unclear bill details (i.e. a "caption bill"). "Neutral" bills denote legislation that may fall under the jurisdiction of an education committee in the General Assembly or enact a technical correction to sections of state law but do not require targeted ET-TN advocacy and/or are unrelated to our current legislative priorities.
