In Eve every second counts and you never know what situation you might find yourself in. The ships highlight here are designed to fit a dual purpose by being able to fight efficiently inside and outside of the ESS. As a pirate, leet pvper, nano-ganger, raider, or what ever you want to call it, mobility is key. For this reason, I have decided to leave out of this list things like Murauders and some battleship strategies.

Despite popular belief, Ewar and Logistics are important parts to small gang fleets. That being said, these ships are DPS focused. I'll leave the rest of the puzzle to you to fill.

NotesDual propping this ship doesnt really take much away from it's performance besides some tank. The downside here is it's the reload time from the Rapid Light Missile platform. The Orthrus has always been a staple in nano gang fleets. It's long range and speed allows it hold tackle on larger ships. There are situations where ships burn out of the ess bubble and still need to be pointed. For this reason I would recomend having an Orthrus in your gang!The AB bonus from the Phantasm has always allowed it to be a great ship. With the addition of the ESS it shines now more than ever. Because of it's tank and speed it's able to wield a web and long point. The Phantasm brings a bunch of utility and damage to any gang!Quite honestly, in small gangs, Triglavian ships are OP. The Vedmak's speed, tracking, and projection are unmatched in the cruiser category. Make sure to properly tank your Vedmak so it lives long enough to spool!The nano Gila has been a low key favorite ship of mine. While it's not the fastest it's extremely tanky and dumps out tons of DPS. In the ESS drones are even stronger because it's impossible to speed tank them!The Drek has great speed and tank for a battlecruiser. In the battlecruiser category, Drek's just outshine everyother ship in being able to perform both inside and outside of the ESS.

While you sacrifice some tank for the 100mn. This fit allows you to button sit and burn off in anything comes into the ESS.		For much the same reasons as the Phantasm, the Nightmare reigns surpreme as the king of the ESS. This is a cheapened out T2 fit, but some of the blingier fits can easy push 1400km COLD. Having one of these both, inside and outside of the ESS really increase your threat value!
