Google Sheets Directions (On the Data tab, the first two weeks of the top section and the entire bottom (blue and green) sections are filled in, as an example of how to fill out the sheet)

Make a copy of the Data tab and save as your own. This will become the tracker that feeds your Tableau workbook.

FieldNotes

Record ID
The Record ID is used to count your items. Fill down from 1 through x, as you complete tasks. This field is not used in the bottom (Viz Project) section of the sheet

- as you complete items, you will add one row to the sheet, per item

MonthThe month field is prepopulated and used in the bottom (blue), monthly community projects section

Week
Fill in the Week field with the corresponding week as you complete items. The Week field is prepopulated in the bottom (green), weekly community projects section

DateFor the top section, fill in the Date field as you go. Every day should have at least 1 record. The Date field is prepopulated for the bottom sections, however once you complete a community project you will need to enter the date it was completed to ensure the viz updates correctly

CategoryFill in the Category field as you go. This field drives the KPI section at the top of the viz

TitleFill in the Title field with the title of the learning resource or viz project. Learning resource titles are used in the treemap tooltip

Viz ProjectThe Viz Project field is prepopulated and does not need to be edited

StatusThe Status field is for the bottom (blue and green) community projects section only. As the weeks pass, mark your status for each project as either complete or incomplete and that will color the circles blue or gray

AuthorFill in the Author field with the name of the person who is responsible for each resource. The Author field is used in the treemap.

SubjectName your Subject areas as you see fit. The Subject field is used in the bar chart and the action that filters the treemap.

LinkCopy and paste the links to your resources in this field. This will allow them to show up in the treemap, upon using the Dashboard Menu actions

Replacing Data Source - In the Tableau workbook, navigate to a worksheet and from the Menu, go to Data --> New Data Source and connect to your newly created data source. Next, from the worksheet, go back to the Menu and select Data --> Replace Data Source and change my data sheet for your new one. The workbook should be updated with your data

WhenWhen replacing the data source, the colors of the vizzes in these worksheets may break and default back to Tableau blue and orange. This can be a common occurance when switching data sources in Tableau. You will likely want to customize the colors to your personal preference anyway, but if not simply change these back to their original color
