To simply swap out the seal entirely and attempt to forget this history does a disservice to the foundation of the town. Natick should find a way to respect, learn and grow from its origins rather than simply sweep it away. A new seal without indigenous communities represented would completely ignore this truth. A seal that balances the past with the present/future is a great way to honor/respect the past while also pointing towards the future. I am a current Natick resident., I have lived in Natick in the past.

John Eliot is a great symbol to stand behind keep John Eliot and the Praying Indians in the Town Seal and maybe add a water element and the Station Tree. Do not writeoff history and eliminate the Praying Indians from the town symbol. Do not whitewash native Americans out of our town seal. John Eliot and the Praying Indians have many remaining symbols around town so lets continue this in the town seal. Do not use generalized symbols in a town seal use Natick specific symbols. Belonging, diversity, peace, going green ect. Are all great and amazing goals but are not a town seal and are general platitudes at best. Natick also is not a big baseball town and the factory has been gone for a long time. It would be embarrassing to lose school baseball games with a town symbol being a baseball...I am a current Natick resident.

THERE IS NO NEED TO CHANGE THE THE TOWN SEAL!!NONE. DO NOT CHANGE THE TOWN SEAL!!!!!Nowadays, woke, closed-minded and divisive. Most of the citizenry, especially those NOT involved in town politics.Yes, this is nothing but liberal navel gazing. Much like when we changed the Redmen nickname, despite the protestations of many of the descendants of the "Natick praying Indians". We have significant budget issues, streets that look like 1980's Beirut, a mall producing dwindling tax revenue, a solution for our elementary schools, and a whole variety of issues, and the woke liberals in town think that this is the most important issue we face. Ridiculous!I am a current Natick resident., I have lived in Natick in the past.
