What are your thoughts, in general, about Kahoot? What do you like or dislike about it? Please explain your response.Do you think using Kahoot instead of traditional lecturing will help you learn and improve your class grade? Please explain your response.
2
Kahoot is a great learning method to use. As I mentioned earlier, Kahoot definitely helps me retain the information better. Yes it will. Traditional class lecturing tend to get boring and students will not be as engaged. Me personally, I try my best to pay attention to traditional class lecturing but it is hard sometimes. However, I was always engaged in class when I played Kahoot throughout this semester.
3
I love kahoot. It motivates me to do well so I can potentially get 1st place. This makes me study harder and really want to learn the information. Also, it is very fun and I do not get bored of just a lecture class.Yes, because of what I said above.
4
I like kahoot and everything about it.I do think using Kahoot is better than lecturing because I am involved throughout the class.
5
I like it. Like I said, it forces you to be engaged and it really puts you on the spot. You also get immediate results so you can add on to your notes. YES!! I think it did. It forces you to go into each class knowing material. If you don't know the material it will be obvious and everyone will see it.
6
I love Kahoot and ill implement it into my classrooms one day.Yes, it engages the students everyday and gets rid of a boring lecture
7
I think that the Kahoot is a great source. It allows us to apply our readings from the past night. It also has the competition factor which is good.i believe it does. Because you though it isn't a typical lecture class, you are still explaining why the answer is what it is.
8
I love Kahoot. I get competitive and I actually feel like I am learning. When we stopped doing kahoot for a week or so I actually kind of missed it. Absolutely. Especially this class being so early I am not going to lie if I wasn't actively participating (using Kahoot) I would dose off. It keeps us engaged in the learning process.
9
Love it keeps me paying attention for the full classyes in most classes i struggle to pay attention really keeps students interested and wanting to compete.
10
I like the kahoot but I don't know if it helps with actually learning the material. I feel like it is just memorizing answers. It would be better to teach the material lecture style and then do kahoot after the chapter to quiz us.I think it will help memorize answers but not necessarily learn the material. If the test and quiz questions were not exactly the kahoot questions I can almost guarantee that the majority of people in this class would not do very well (nothing against the people in the class. Some have a very good understanding). So I am not sure how much people understand the material rather than just know the answers.
11
I like it a lot, because it gives opportunity for the teacher to see what we know, and also, quiz us without it being a direct grade. Yes, because it shows what we know on material we should have covered already, instead of assigning material to read, then lecture over it and you could still not understand a thing. You see what you know, she briefly lectures over anything a large group misses, and you continue. It also gives a competitive feel to it, which especially in a sports related program, is a great motivator to students that are a majority pretty competitive normally.
12
I really enjoyed the Kahoot app. Kahoot encouraged me to learn the new material for each section. Also, it rewards students who work hard with extra points. Kahoot made class more fun and easy to learn. Yes, I believe using Kahoot helped me improve my class grade. Also, it helped me learn more than I probably would have otherwise. Kahoot prepared me to do well on the quizzes and tests.
13
i love it!!! we elaborate on things we need help on but go past the things we already know so we are not wasting our timeit has helped me learn more then any other thing i have ever tried. I actually learned the material not just memorized
14
I enjoyed getting to compete but also learn all at the same time. Yes, I am more intrigued about learning and do not get as bored. Rather than usually I would in a normal lecture.
15
I love it, I love the competition and I love to be able to have Kahoot as a study method as well as being able to learn the material.Yes, by all means I feel as if this is the best thing for professors to adapt to in their class instead of a boring 1-3 hour lecture to where students take notes and sometimes don't even understand the material being discussed and don't do well or succeed in the course.
16
I love Kahoot. Kahoot allows me to get the information and concepts into my head without getting bored with a lecture. Yes, I feel like Kahoot helped me 100% more than a traditional class would have.
17
I loved Kahoot, it's like taking a quiz/test and competing against the other students in class. It also pressures your memory skills, lets you know if you are prepared for class so you can work on the material you don't understand. It keeps you alert and it's not boring. It's fun and refreshing to me cause I have never been taught like this and from my personal experience it helped greatly, it kept me active in learning and had a competitive edge in playing the game in class.Yes, it helped me understand all the material better. It also helped on my test taking skills. It engages students, because they have to pay attention to earn points and it's not a boring lecture. Some professors don't know how to "teach" they just read off powerpoints and just don't care how they teach. If they switched to Kahoot, it would be a game changer for those who teach like that. Students need that "student-teacher interaction," and if a game helps students have fun to learn then it should be used more often.
18
The kahoot is great because it keeps me engaged for the entire class.Yes, during a lecture I am much more likely to zone out and be disinterested.
19
I love it! I am interested in class and in the material presented. This game motivates me to get every question right because I want to win! I love competition even in the classroom!Yes, absolutely!! I would hate to go back to a lecture type class after experiencing Kahoot.
20
I like kahoot. It is my first time using this to learn and it was very beneficial for me!yes. I learn a lot better when i can interact with something. Most kids will be on their phone in a normal class any way to be honest, give them a reason to be and still learn
21
I like that it allowed us to be involved in the lesson.Yes. It forces you to be more focused.
22
I loved kahoot. It made it so I actually wanted to learn so I would not lose the game. I have always been a very competitive person and it was a driving force behind me learning in this class. Yes, as I said, because of kahoot, I really know the material at a knee jerk response speed. You had to know the material, and you had to know it fast if you wanted to succeed and I thought that was great.
