Hi! I’ve noticed in the new EDS UI the Advanced Search Drop down for location doesn’t work. I tried doing a search for “art” and narrowing it to the art museum but it brings up everything. If I go to the side filters and limit by art museum it works. Feedback: Permalink is harder to use in new interface. In the old interface there was a "direct to" link for that and it shortened the link, in the new one you have to click on share and then click on "create permalink" and it's a longer link. Also you have to be logged in to do this (in the old interface you did not have to be logged in.)

Feedback: feedback about wanting title link blue, and that yellow highlighting was distracting. PubMed/Google scholar title is a) small font b) search query terms are in bold, not highlighted and italicized, c) title is in some type of blue. This makes it easier to scan.

Currently we have styled our Request link to be a call to action button. In the new FTF we cannot do this. We also cannot put on GTM/GA code and track.

This is confusing to guests who are trying to save items. Also, guests should be able to temporarily save items for export (i.e. as a public patron I would like to export myself this list of archival items that I've found so that I can set up an appointment to view them)

Allow guests to send another guest the url of search page result without the url requiring authentication to access. Also allow guests to see article details page (if metadata provider allows).

We would like to have guests be able to save/export as they might not be affiliated with CU Boulder but want to print out a list of books from our catalog to come in and view. We also do not want to force users off-campus to have to login to use this feature.

This is used when showing non-CU users (like high school students) how to use the search. It also allows for faculty who prefer to use oa articles for class or a project to easily find those articles.

When selecting Alexander Street collections, we have to do it twice, once in HM, and then again in the customlink. HM should have a setting that turns on the corresponding special link in customlinks for us, instead of making us do this twice, which is highly inefficient.

Could results in Publication Finder and the Reference Card be tied to source type and peer-reviewed filters? That way a reference card wouldn't display when peer-reviewed or academic journal is selected, and a streaming video wouldn't show when books are selected.

Currently all library catalog items have a link to the catalog. The link text says "Place Hold/View in Library Catalog".
Patrons find the "Place Hold" text misleading when it takes them to a library catalog item where they cannot place a hold.
However some patrons find just "View in Library Catalog" misleading as they do not know they can place a hold.
We are hoping to be able to move to patron empowerment via the new EDS UI in 2025, but until them will brainstorm additional wording.

That behavior is the correct behavior, I am curious why it does not happen in the first example. Are you seeing the same difference in behavior in EDS when you are logged in vs logged out?

Currently, users have to scroll down to the bottom to see the blue related resources button, which means many of them never see it (ux testing, nobody tried it out). Could we make it more noticeable for users?

“Learn” should be “Learning”, but our current Drupal search box cuts off citations at 128 characters. They tried to change it but “we are using Drupal's form API for this module, it would need to be completely rewritten and I'm afraid we don't have the resources to take that on at this time.” Summon was able to handle word cut offs.
Could be fixed by changing relevancy to SmartText searching, but this would hurt topic relevancy

After an initial analysis by our teams, we have determined that current plans do not include a change to this functionality.

The APA citation given by the citation tools is

Pan, Z. (2023). Climate change and global warming. Salem Press Encyclopedia of Science.

As you said, that publication does not exist, and thus the Published in and Citation information is incorrect. As our main audience is students who are writing papers where they need to cite the resource, and professors need to be able to view the resource they are citing, it is critical that the Published in information be correct. Perhaps this could say something like EBSCO Research Starter's Salem Press Encyclopedia of Science, so at least professors are not trying to find a non existent publication. But ultimately it would be preferable if the correct publication that the article was published in be referred to on the site, so that professors not associated with the university can find it.

EDS questionnaire didn't save correctly
EDS asked for holdings twice, once for customlinks and once for Holdings Management.
EDS package list for both seemed old/not updated
Dueling recommendations from support on a) if we should have them load customlinks or not and b) if we should use full text finder links instead of customlinks.

Admin settings:
Can't right click and open a new tab (example when looking at packages in Holdings Management and wanting to compare)
Cannot get a full csv file of all of our packages. Expect csv file with Package Name / Vendor / Package Type / Proxy Server Setting / Status / Allow EBSCO to Select New titles / Content Type / Number of Available Titles by Content Type / Number of titles selected /Default URL/ Notes
