What do you like about Judy's teaching the most? What ONE change do you want to see to enhance your learning?Judy's Responses to Your Feedback! In term of lesson content, what one concept do you still find confusing? Please describe.
2
I will bring more exmples! Sorry, no irradiated foods for Lesson 10 and no samples for Lesson 12
3
Enthusiasm about contentFor summer classes, space out midterms by one more lectureI agree with the 'spacing' out suggestion. Sorry, I can't do much now, but I will definitely consider this in future offering of this course in the summer. N/A yet
4
there is food, especially after midterm.more epollOkay. n/a
5
the contentmore time for examsI will consider this for the final exam. You should have asked for more for midterm #2! I've extended the midterm time to 40 minutes for midterm #2, compared to 35 minutes in midterm #1 and 30 minutes when I taught during the regulart term. I don't mind giving an extra 5 minutes.freezing and drying
6
Shows alot of examples people see everyday.More organized with timeline and material as to not rush through certain thing. More individual time with exams.Ditto on timing for midterm. I will slow down for Lessons 11, 12, and 13.Nothing
7
Judy is a excellent prof, I love she gives a lot of examples about food in our daily lifeMore focus on the detailsWill do!
8
Bring real food sampleshighlighting things that will be on the examsAh... I will have to think hard about this.... I will work on giving you more direct and indirect hints. No
9
free foodMaybe a little more explanation on topics, i sometimes feel lost during the classPlease ask away! When you are in doubt, there are probably a dozen other students needing the extra expanations too. You are doing everyone a flavour. thankfully nothing
10
Approachable and answers questionsMaybe a little slower for the important chapters?Ditto!Grading of the Different Products I suppose
11
How she explains topics in an elementary way so even non science students can understand science concepts.Maybe not as much information put into a midterm(second midterm). I feel like i could have learnt more if it had been more equally divided against midterm.Well! This is something I haven't heard and thought of myself before. Thank you! I will definitely consider this in my future course offering. I understand all, I just have trouble memorizing all the information.
12
I appreciate the enthusiasm and passion with which Judy teaches. She is engaging and I feel like she really cares about her students.More practice questions (with answer keys to check afterwards) available to study from for midterms and exams. For answer keys... I was hoping that you will ask your teammates or use other channels (Piazza Discussion Board or Facebook group) to sort it out.
For more practice questions... Um... Ah... let me think about this. My hesitation comes from the fact that I've already added 10 questions from each lesson. This is something I've never done before in 6 years of teaching....
the specific ways large water crystals affect the food quality.
