Replaced head, head gasket, 2 tappets, front cover gasket, front crank seal, valve cover gasket, exhaust gasket, coolant bypass gasket and intake gaskets. Filled coolant to spec. Replaced oil and filter due to contamination while repairing.

I lost heating, it was because of low coolant level (about 3L lost), engine temperature went up to 2/3 of the scale. I send it to the dealer. They checked if it's leaking, filled it up with coolant and let me go. After another fuel tank of light driving I lost another 2L of coolant. There were other symptoms too, rough start when cold, sweet smell from the exhaust, check engine light went on and then off. I don't know if this is related but it happened shortly after the PCM update.

COBB air filter, Mountune intake, Denso -1 cold plugs, Tune+

Rough idle on cold start one morning. Really rough idle, sounded like a tractor on three cylinders, the next morning. Popped a CEL. Read code. Cylinder 2 misfire. Swore a lot. Drove to dealer where it currently sits (July 11, one year to the day since delivery) Checked coolant reservoir, very very low.

Tune+ W400 kit plus ETS extreme exhaust

6/25/17. Started up the car in the morning, had misfires and white smoke (coolant) blowing out of the tail pipe. Coolant reservoir was also low. Car was dropped off at the dealer 6/27/17.
Mileage when issue confirmed: 11,6xx

Pressure test confirmed cracked block. Tech tore down the entire engine. Found multiple valves leaking and head was warped. Scoring on the cylinder walls was also found.

Got a call 7/3 that Ford is replacing the entire engine under warranty. Also that the engines wont be released until 7/17. Engine showed up 7/11...

coolant level dropping, misfires on cold start up, excessive steam from exhaust on cold start up

I started noticing a rough idle at cold startup. Then it would level out. Never noticed any white smoke. My waylens camera started showing code P0303, it actually had additional information and I didn't pay it any attention at first because I assumed it was a camera fault code. The engine light didn't come on until week 3. Looked under the hood to see that the coolant was extremely low. Just got word from the dealer that it is indeed misfiring, but not just on cylinder 3, but also cylinder 2 and that coolant is leaking into the cyclinders.

They confirmed the misfire and coolant leak. They are moving it to the next level tech to figure out what's next

P0303, P0316 Coolant in cylinder, head was warped, 2 tappets damaged. Replaced head, head gasket, 2 tappets, front cover gasket, front crank seal, valve cover gasket, exhaust gasket, coolant bypass gasket and intake gaskets. Filled coolant to spec. So, no new engine.

Engine blew up, Coolant was well below minimum mark on tank after inspection. No CEL or misfires prior to engine failure.

White coolant smoke, rough idle on cold starts occasionally. Consumed roughly 1 gallon coolant per month.

Initial visit, no fault found. @23105mi Engine hydro locked on cylinders 1/2, towed to dealership. Head and block found to be warped.

Rough idle, white smoke out exhaust (sweet smell), threw check engine code on third time it did this.

Ford dealer sent me home said they ran ck was ok. Came back after it burned another tank full of anti freeze

Dealer performed leak test and found no issues. They topped off my fluid and said to continue to monitor it.

Issue began when car had COBB tune, P0171 O2 sensor code thrown – dealership blamed the tune they did not inspect.

Dealership could not resolve, went through hell with Gaudin Ford in Las Vegas, finally went to Team Ford in Las Vegas on 11/10/17 and they determined coolant was leaking into head gasket.

07/16/17: Issue began when car had COBB tune, P0171 O2 sensor code thrown – Dealership blamed the tune

06/25/2017 – 08/04/2017: Purchased and installed Authorized Ford mountune Parts + downpipe

09/17/2017: RS stalls at Chevron gas station and runs rougher, P0171 and a PC164 O2 sensor codes thrown.

09/18/2017: Brought RS to Ford Dealership for multi-point inspection. Car P2195 O2 sensor code thrown, charged for unnecessary ECU reprogramming back to stock (I had already reprogrammed RS to stock), no solution found.

09/19/2017: At the recommendation of a service rep I purchase BG 44K Fuel System Cleaner to see if that resolved the issue, desperate for a solution I begin calling other auto shops. Ford Dealership cannot troubleshoot issue and wants to return car back to all stock parts.

09/22/2017: Mountune provides (yeah, I'm literally asking them for help) a potential path by replacing downstream O2 sensor; since the sensor is on the downpipe we swap out downpipe.

11/06/2017: P0302, P0316, P0420 codes thrown, white smoke emanates from the exhaust on cold start. Finally, locate Ford Dealership which sells Ford Performance parts and will work on the car. They troubleshoot the issue and determine coolant is leaking into the head gaskets. The car has been in the shop since and the long block is now being replaced 12/1/2017.

ETS Exhaust, DP, FMIC, but reverted back to stock for roughly 4k miles for drive across USA.

The first dealer wrote it off as a possible spark plug issue so they replaced the OE plugs with a new set of Ford Motorcraft plugs. The CEL returned not more than 72 hours later and continued to pop up within 48 hours of clearing the code myself. I then took the car to another dealership where the headgasket was determined to be the issue, not the spark plugs/coils/etc.

Started the car one morning and it misfired a few times from a cylinder. From that point on a kept an eye on the coolant level which dropped consistently from that point forward. The misfiring starts would happen more frequently from that point on.

stage1, tune only. Will uninstall the tune next week to test it on stock.

Misfire in Cylinder 2. Started after sometime after stage1 tune, didn't have it without a tune before. Found the discussion on focusst.org about random misfiring in cylinder 2 or 4 on both stock and tuned cars, 100+ pages. Dealership didn't tell me anything, just cleared the code. ST owners are pretty aware of it and there is no fix for them yet. Stopped to worry about it. Then I had a white smoke during the cold start for 1 minute coming out of the pipe yesterday (or maybe more times, but I didn't notice it before). Right after that I noticed a noticeable drop in coolant. I'm closely monitoring everything right now. Very similar to what @412focusrs has.

Store my **** for one month, then disassemble 2.3EB and let sit in dirty ass environment exposed to debris, until ford can allocate repair parts

Head/head gasket failure, verified by Ford. White smoke and sounded like it was running on 3 cylinders.

Uneven idle and white smoke at start-up, smell of coolant, eventually loss of cabin heat due to coolant loss. After refilling coolant took the car for a drive and the starter failed to engage forcing me to tow the car to Ford shop. Not sure of connection to the original problem. Only thing I can see is if coolant has entered starter and caused a short?

Authorized Ford shop found head gasket between cylinders looking slightly irregular and traced coolant gas in at least 2 cylinders. This with engine still in car. Ford stated that there were no head gaskets in stock and that they would therefore replace engine!

Rough idle, loss of power, smell of burnt oil under load, 1/2 quart down 3 weeks after oil change, white smoke 2 weeks after first noticed symptoms

Reported that piston #2 "fell apart", no compression, thus engine will have to be replaced. Could be 2 to 8 weeks before they receive an engine. No mention of head gasket, so may not be related.
