Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica - Capítulo Wilfredo Lam The SHH is an honor society for high school students enrolled in Spanish and/or Portuguese, sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP).

As a recognition of achievement in the area of language acquisition in the ares of Spanish language at NAHS, any secondary school student who has maintained an honor average in the study of Spanish or Portuguese for a minimum of three semesters taken at North Atlanta High School (starting with Spanish 2, 3 or 4, Spanish for Native Speakers 1 and 2, IB-DP Spanish HL 1 or AP Spanish Language & Culture) with an overall average of no less than 85 in the Spanish language courses and is in the 10th grade or 11th grade is eligible to be a member of the SHH. Active membership is required one year before or one year after induction. As such, 12th graders may only be inducted at the start of the Fall semester only without exceptions. Tutorial service in the target language is required no less than one year for eight hours per year.

Note: 9th graders may be recognized for their achievement of language acquisition only during the Spring semester of the 9th grade year as rising sophomores to continue at NAHS with a recommendation from their current high school teacher of Spanish 4, SNS1 or SNS2, if they have a full of year credit in Spanish 3 / high school elective from Sutton Middle School per their NAHS transcript.

Chapter sponsors must be active members of the AATSP.

There are opportunities to participate in various competitions and activities revolving around the Tome Society "It List" books each year as well as several technology competition opportunities. Tri-M National Music Honors SocietyTri-M Music Honor Society, formerly known as Modern Music Masters, is a high school and middle school music honor society and is a program of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME). It is designed to recognize students for their academic and musical achievements and to provide leadership and service opportunities to young musicians. To be eligible for membership, a student must maintain a B average in their music classes, a B average in all of their academic courses, be presently enrolled in a music course at their school, and be recommended for membership by their school's music faculty.
