This RFI template is designed to help you identify, prioritize, and assess criteria when selecting a data catalog solution. Use this template to evaluate priorities internally and assess potential vendor partners.

1. Make a copy of this workbook so you can edit it (File > Make a Copy).

2. Review the data catalog assessment criteria across all categories, use cases, and associated features. If there are needs specific to your company, add rows accordingly (e.g. industry-specific compliance, etc).

3. Prioritize each feature with it's importance: [P1: Essential], [P2: Nice to have], [P3: Not relevant]. At a minimum, this is a good exercise for your team. We recommend sharing this information with your vendors as well to have a more efficient conversation.

4. Add any additional information you'll need for your procurement team to evaluate vendors (e.g. general company information, etc.)

5. Have vendors work through your assessment criteria. Short list those that best meet your needs for further discussion and selection.
