She brings her family to enjoy a quiet meal in her beautiful and well-tended garden. This game charts the course of her life and the lives of those around her through the decisions made at these parties. A Garden of Forking Paths is a tale-telling American Freeform larp told in scenes. In each scene, four characters will face certain dilemmas, and make decisions that will affect the course of their lives. At the same time, two other groups of players will be playing the same characters and, possibly, making different decisions. Between scenes, players will be shuffled into different groups. They will generally play the same characters, but those characters may have made different decisions in the prior scene, causing them to start the next scene in a different situation.

It’s been almost sixty years since the Tursans put six people on the largest of the three moons in the sky, and no one’s been back, not even to orbit, since then. The charismatic CEO of Blue Phoenix has vowed to put the first Emerans into space, and to bring back fame, glory, and profits that will raise poor Emera into the ranks of leading nations. A Second Chance for Wings is a two to three hour tale-telling LARP that plays out the arc of the Emeran push for space. Set on a world far away from our own, but still similar in many ways, A Second Chance for Wings is a character-driven, low-mechanic, little-to-no combat five player LARP. Players will play the same characters throughout the game, provided they survive each tale. Will Blue Phoenix and Emera reach space and the moons, or will space be empty for the foreseeable future?

Adult Survivors of Childhood Cinematic TraumaMike Younghttp://www.interactivitiesink.com/index.html?page=landing&id=92&type=4Free6-124-51-2PTSD, traumatic events?Adult Survivors of Cinematic Childhood Trauma is set at the first meeting of a public group therapy session. All of the characters are adults who, as children, were involved in fantastic adventures taken from popular movies. They may have been chased by dinosaurs, or been kidnapped by a goblin king, or jumped into chalk paintings, or could see dead people … for example. They have grown up having to deal with the mental repercussions of their childhood adventures in a world where people will be unlikely to believe their stories. They will have triggers and will be encouraged to discuss their trauma. It is possible that parts of the larp will become loud and intense. This larp examines post traumatic stress disorder. It is the goal of the larp to allow people to learn about and explore PTSD by using familiar stories as sort of safe, fictionalized device. It is the goal of the larp that PTSD be presented in an educational fashion, and players will be expected to read some articles about PTSD provided by the event runners before the larp. There will also be some workshops before the larp itself begins.

After DarkMo Holkarhttps://www.holkar.net/larps/after_dark.htmlFree4-84-52-3Death, pandemic, isolationdesigned as onlineAfter Dark takes place in a slightly-alternative present day. Humanity has been devastated by the Grey Plague, a roiling miasma that seems to almost knowingly seek people out and extinguish them. Those who still survive are holed up individually, knowing that they probably don’t have long to live. The Grey Plague leaves its victims lifeless but apparently unmarked. Its advance has been so swift and so terrible that it’s not been possible to establish whether it’s a poison, a bacterium, or what. There has been wild speculation about its source/cause, but no sound knowledge exists. It’s thought [by the characters – the players know that this is not accurate] to be attracted by light and by noise. Individuals are physically separated and enclosed, still connected together by what remains of the internet. But they know that they are almost certainly doomed – eventually the Grey Plague will find them, and snuff them out, one by one. In the meantime, they chat online – remembering better times, saying the things that they wish that they’d said before.

Down on ratings, down on funding, slowing slipping off the airwaves and into oblivion, an ailing television network launched its final gambit: a pressure-cooker reality TV show where the contenders for the grand prize have to spend three months living on a submarine, deep under the ocean. It's been four long months of claustrophobic life in the submarine for contenders and crew alike. For the contenders, it's been a non-stop barrage of interpersonal conflicts, hoops to jump and psychological mind games for the world's entertainment. For the crew, it's been life under the network's sword of damocles. In the tiny confines of the underwater vessel, everyone knew that the pay off is the prize, all else must simply be endured. It has been three long months of gritted teeth and thinking of the money at the end, if only it's all a success. And now, at last, it's all over. With the last of the crew and only three contenders left on board, the winner has just been announced and filming has wrapped. The cameras are off, the submarine has begun its ascent and in just three hours, you're free. There's only three more hours to endure.

Content may include proscribed marriage and reproduction (possibly at odds with character sexuality, gender, and/or reproductive wishes) and institutional violence and abuses.?As the last step before a squire's ordeal to earn their shield as a knight, they must cleanse themselves with a ritual bath, and be instructed in the code that they must soon swear to uphold. It is said that in this time of contemplation, the boundary between tomorrows and yesterdays is made thin, and knights-to-be can see visions of what their lives may be. It is also said that the count of those who are rejected for failing their ordeal is less than those who reject the shield and choose to walk away before the ordeal even begins. In Before the Ordeal, players will be a tight-knit cohort of squires proceeding together through their ritual baths in turn (wearing swimsuits or similar bathing attire), and experiencing visions of possible futures (played out as short freeform or blackbox scenes, in which players may briefly take on other roles), as they prepare to swear themselves to knighthood (or not). Character core motivations and conflicts will be provided, but relationships and some character and setting details will be established by players collectively answering pre-written prompts immediately prior to play (the first hour or so of the game slot being reserved for this purpose). The setting and scenario draw heavily on Tamora Pierce's Tortall novels (in particular the Song of the Lioness and the Protector of the Small series), though the specific strictures required of knights are rather more demanding than those of Tortall. The game structure draws heavily on Susanne Vejdemo and Anna-Karin Linder's larp, Athena's Chosen.

It muffles the sound and the sky. Eventually it'll cover everything. It hasn't quite yet. Maybe by morning. The world started ending months ago. This shouldn't come as a surprise. It doesn't mostly, or the ones who are surprised have the shame to hide it. We all saw it coming. There was just nothing we could do. People mostly carried on with their normal lives until they couldn't anymore. Until the ash or the ghosts stopped them from pursuing routine, the normalcy of going to work and going home, until this was all that was left. The power went out today, and no one expects that it will come back on. You have candles and friends for tonight, and you're not sure what you'll wake up to tomorrow. You're not sure you'll wake up at all. Some of you are already ghosts and the rest of you might as well be. It’s so hard to tell the difference. Specifically, from a shard of mirror that you’d picked up years ago, kept as a curiosity. That had never before done anything but reflect light. Now it was translucent and glowing in a strange color. Come save me!” Were you going crazy? There was no one around to ask if they’d heard it too. Without thinking about it, you reached out and touched your shard. And then, with a feeling like being turned inside out, you were here. No longer your sunny room, but a dimly-lit, dusty library. With a handful of others that looked as confused as you felt. And two large, gnarled trees, moving oddly in the still air. One of whom was still calling out, in a panic, “Save me!”

GoneWheel Tree Presshttps://wheeltreepress.itch.io/gone$1.005-1131-2Loss, potentially grief and death?gone is a live action role playing game about a person cleaning out the items left behind by someone they cared about, who has either left them or passed on. The players determine the relationship. Examples might be: A lover who broke up with them. A best friend or roommate they had a falling out with. A parent or spouse who passed away. A child who they have become estranged from. The central relationship, though, can be whatever the group playing wishes to explore. One player will take on the role of "the remnant," the person cleaning out the items owned by the gone. The other players will each play one of the items. Together, the players will weave a story about the good times and the bad times the remnant had with the gone, through the lens of remembering how each item factored into their relationship.

"Heroic Measures" is a freeform scenario about medical decision-making at the end of life for fantasy heroes, based on the actual principles and practice of palliative care. An adventuring party must come together to share memories and help choose the magical care that will best help their companion die with dignity. This scenario lets participants explore the very real challenges of judgment and consensus around the care of someone unable to voice their own choices, couched in the familiar tropes of fantasy adventure, and maybe think more about their own wishes, worries, and plans for their loved ones and themselves.

Did you have a grandmother or a grandfather with whom you felt more in tune, or with whom you talked more often? Well: the grandchildren and grandparents who will be interpreted in these phone conversations are very close, their relationship is unique and special, and they have a feeling that makes it natural for them to confide in each other. We invite you to remember some intimate details of the relationship you had with your grandparent and to draw on them to create the character sheet. If, on the other hand, you haven't had the chance to know even one of your grandparents, don't worry: you can use your fantasy based on the accounts that someone in your family has probably made about them, or you may about the kind of grandparent you would have liked to have, and then make up the relationship you might have actually had. In the game you can bring up other persons who don't appear as playing characters through the Doubt, the Advice, the Shared Recollection, the Event or the Promise.

There is something the Living and the Deceased had to talk about and now it’s too late. When visiting the grave, the Living talks to the Deceased about these unresolved issues – as if they could hear them. And in fact, the Deceased can hear them but cannot respond. Unresolved business in this world gives the Deceased pain and forbids them to find rest in the afterlife. An Angel, existing near the grave, overhears the Deceased’s responses. The Angel can’t hear the Living. But the Angel decides they want to help the Deceased to find rest with this world. When the Angel and the Deceased next midnight talk about what happened, the Angel decides to enter the Living’s dreams to send what the Living needs to know through symbols and visions. Maybe these dreams have already changed the Living when they visit the grave of the Deceased next time.

And it’s a way out of the depressive region / town you are living in. Beside a good application, all it needs to be accepted is a proper citizen-score – when talking about it, it’s often referred to as ‘how sound you are’. Think: credit score, but for behaviour. The general score level of your region is currently deteriorating and some of you might miss the mark. However, you can support each other by up-voting. If only there were enough votes to push everybody over the mark. However, you can down-vote somebody for bad behaviour. Each down-vote earns you one extra up-vote you can spend. So some of you will be outscored and miss a proper score. Or worse: send to correction centre – to be made ‘sound’ again.

Siege Mentality IIJ Tuomas Harviainen, Roger Gammanshttps://library.interactiveliterature.org/brands/j-tuomas-harviainen/projects/51-siege-mentality-iiFreeUp to 104-52Zombies, death, trauma, killing, weapons, violence, drug addiction, proabably best to leave out the part about playing racist or misogynist characters? The basic idea is simple: The game takes place in the area where it is played, and to go outside the door means you die. If you're in a convention center, the rest of the building is full of zombies ready to eat your flesh. If you're at a cabin, the windows are boarded (draw the curtains in front of them), and the hordes are waiting right outside. As time goes on, the mood inside the shelter gets more and more tense, and eventually someone - or everyone - will inevitably die. This scenario starts from the moment when everyone has just run into the safety of the playing area from various directions, whatever it is. One of the characters slams the door shut, and then the play begins. It is therefore important to take note of any shared traits before the game starts, as those should be unveiled at the very beginning. "You! Out of all the people in the world to survive! You bastard, who left me at the altar!" is a great way to kick things off, for example.

The Bell is intended to be an emotionally intense game that pushes moral dilemmas. (It isn’t recommended for novice roleplayers.) It can be run for 12 to 20 players with a play duration of two hours. The premise of The Bell is that the players are the crew and passengers of a space ship called The Soul which is travelling to a planet called Castilia and experiencing technical problems. People are normally put to sleep for the journey, with the crew waking for short periods from time to time to make repairs that the ship cannot handle by itself. In this case, the ship is damaged with problems with critical systems. The players wake as amnesiacs with only partial memories about who they are and why they are there. At several points in the game they will hear a tolling bell indicating that they have to return to their sleeper pods for the next phase of the journey. In these bell interludes they will be able to recover more memories about themselves and other people.

The Importance of Being ConvergentMatt "Halftime" Peairs, Xavidhttps://xavid.itch.io/convergentFree5-121-22?Tetrana is a small but ancient and prosperous kingdom. Its most distinctive feature is its strong caste system, which divides every individual into a rigid caste based on affinity to one of the four elements: Air, Fire, Water, or Earth. Each caste has rigidly defined roles and a strict place in the social hierarchy. Most unusually, however, every 100 years a mystical Convergence of the four elements reshapes the structure of Tetranan society, allowing the caste hierarchy to be realigned! This is obviously a most important event, and you are privileged to represent one of the four castes at the Convergence, with the power to determine if a Realignment will occur. You do this, of course, by using your elemental gems to summon your spirit butterfly. Because everything about Tetrana makes perfect sense. Of course, it'd be highly improper for anyone to pretend to be a member of a caste they are not, and especially so at such an important event that will decide the future of the country for the next century. So you have every assurance that everyone is exactly who they appear to be.

The Straights are Not OkayAsh Kreiderhttps://peachpantspress.com/larps/straights/Pay what you want9-122-42This game revolves around themes of gender-essentialism, gender binarism, and heterosexism, although it does so as a way of holding up a critical lens to these common stereotypes. Not yet adapted but adaption may be possibleIn The Straights Are Not Okay, you will play a group of people at a gender reveal party in a national forest. Nominally, party attendees are there to support the expectant parents, but during play you will use the occasion to vent frustrations and resentments with other party guests in the pettiest, most passive-aggressive manner possible. The game will end when the gender reveal goes hilariously wrong and the party-goers burn down the forest. In The Straights Are Not Okay, you will all play characters who are cisgender and heterosexual (or claim to be heterosexual), although each character may be played by any person of any gender or sexuality. Players should not feel obligated to align their character choices with their own gender.

There are three great heroes in the Kingdom of Arkhos. Their fates are bound together, like sticks in a bundle. And those fates will manifest very soon.
One will be king. One will be happy. One will die.
This much is woven into the skein of destiny, and cannot be changed. But destiny can manifest in many different ways. Humans can pull it one way or another, within the confines of its essential nature, if they wield the right sort of power.
That power is called witchcraft.

You were superheroes, the saviours of Herotopia, though you don’t remember it. No one does. The whole world was changed, and the history that you used to know no longer exists, and never existed. But it’s trying to reassert itself. What happens if it does? Why did everything change in the first place? You're the only ones with the answers.

The characters are separated by quantum anomalies, hostile xenomorphs, or tentacled horrors beyond human comprehension -- and they need to work as a team in order to survive. Since they can't reach one another in person, these characters must communicate by using viewscreens throughout the ship (just as the players communicate via video-chat software).
