31 | Sandy Cochran Memorial Fund Scholarship | One mission of the privately endowed Sandy Cochran Memorial Fund is to support students who are committed to pursuing a career in forestry, natural resource management and/or environmental science – and then applying that knowledge to provide the very best in natural resource management to the 17- county region of northwestern Pennsylvania and southwestern New York*. Sandy Cochran believed that people should work safely, apply best management practices in the forests, cultivate the most promising markets for our wood products, stay informed on the most recent research results and technologies, and work to create a policy environment led by well- informed political leaders. He wanted the best and brightest youth to study for forestry and related careers. His friends and colleagues created this fund to further Sandy’s wishes. 44 | Stroup Family Scholarship (BSN Scholorship)- Clarion Hospital Foundation | The Clarion Hospital Foundation is looking for applicants for our 2025 Stroup Family Nursing Scholarships. $1,000 awarded to two individuals who are entering their first year of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program of PennWest-Clarion in Fall 2025 . This scholarship is renewable for year towof the BSN program. During the third and fourth years of the awardees BSN program, awardees in good standing become a Nurse Extern at Clarion Hospital.
