2	Summary	Glossary of Terms:
3	This spreadsheet was compiled from filings to the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) using the SEC's Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis, and Retrieval (EDGAR) system. The tabs contain votes for the Tesla proposals to ratify Elon Musk’s compensation via the CEO options grant package. There are votes for both the initial proposal in 2018 "CEO Performance Award" (Proposal One) and the post-Delaware decision in 2024 "ratify the 100% performance-based stock option award to Elon Musk" (Proposal Four).	CIK or Central Index Key - the SEC uses this key to uniquely identify companies or individuals that make filings. Entity or Filing Entity - is the company or individual that the unique key (CIK) refers to. These names may change over time.
4	Note Regarding Split Vote Outcomes: There are three types of voting outcomes--For, Against, and Abstain. Since it is possible to vote each of these ways by splitting the number of shares there are cases where different types are listed; for example "For, Against" shows that some shares were used to vote "For" in favor of Elon Musk's compensation package, and some votes were cast "Against" it. If there is enough interest to dig deeper into the details, we may produce share counts. But note, due to changes in filing requirements only a fraction of the share counts are available for 2018.	Fund - "A pooled investment vehicle is an entity—often referred to as a fund—that an adviser creates to pool money from multiple investors." Series or Fund Series ID - is the unique identifier for a Fund managed by the Entity. Ticker or Stock Symbol - "A stock symbol or ticker is a unique series of letters assigned to a security for trading purposes." For example, 'TSLA' is Tesla's ticker.
5		Error Notes
6	We included a comparison between votes in 2018 and the 2024 post-Delaware decision where possible. Some entities did not vote in 2018 because they did not own TSLA shares then.	In some filings there were inconsistencies noted with an "Error" keyword. You can see the details in the Notes column or look at the filings directly, BUZ and PGIM.

9	2018 & 2024 ETF Votes: As the name implies this tab shows the ticker symbol, name, 2018 vote, and 2024 vote for ETFs; some voting outcomes are split (see above).	An EDGAR query for proxy vote (N-PX) filings including mentions of "Tesla" in 2018 returns over 250 filings.
10	2018 Votes: Shows filing dates, company, fund, ticker symbols, unique key (CIK), and fund series ID. There is also a link to the filing itself and notes regarding any strangeness in the filing.	Each filing (because 2018 filing format rules were more lax) was parsed using purpose-built code. The Entity unique key (CIK), entity name, fund name, series ID, etc. was pulled from each filing.
11	2024 Votes: Shows filing dates, company, fund, ticker symbols, unique key (CIK), and fund series ID. There is also a link to the filing itself and notes regarding any strangeness in the filing.	For 2024 the filings were more structured so XML parsers were possible. In addition the share count votes were reported.
12	2024 Vote Details: Shows the same information as the "2018 Votes" and "2024 Votes" tabs, and adds other details: - Form - like N-PX & N-PX/A - Vote Description - text describing what the vote is for; some filings have frustratingly difficult descriptions like "Item 4" - Shares Votes - the count of shares voted (see Split Vote Outcomes above) As well as other details from the filing document like Management Recommendation, Issuer, Category, etc.	The filings were sometimes ernormous, sometimes internally inconsistent, vague (only "item 4" for Vote Description), and filled with unstructured text where XML was required (like values with "For<br>Against<br>Abstain" instead of different tags). Manual parsing was performed (if possible) where automated parsing failed.
