Carleton Universityjanusz.bialy@carleton.caMedicore (hosted by mediacore) for asynchrnonous for content that requires 'control and security'. Sometimes used for some public materials. Youtube for public. Mediacore. However we also have Camtasia relay and this content is hosted in Screencast (Techsmith's depreciated media hosting tool for Camtasia)Edgecast as a content delivery network (CDN). We use our own encoders to send live and high demand content to Edgecast. From our 5 broadcast classrooms live encoding is sent to Edgecast via Flash Media Live Encoder producing three separate streams. For remote live events, we use Digital Rapids box, or a product from Teradek, which is sent to an oncampus streaming server, which then sends the stream(s) to Edgecast.3playmediawe also use bigbluebutton for synchronous teaching/sessions. It can also record and store media. In an ideal world, we would shift Camtasia relay (or other lecture capture generated content), bigbluebutton and in general all media to Mediacore. This however is not trivial.
