This calculator is designed to assist with the creation of work patterns in eFIN for part time teachers.

As per the CEMEA2022 Clause 60.4 the maximum amount of scheduled class time for the 2024 and subsequent years is 18.50 hours per week. Therefore the Total hours of SCT have been averaged to 3.7 hours to represent a full day on this calculator.

Should your schools daily scheduled class time be different, you will need convert the scheduled class time hours to reflect no more than 7.6 hours, then adjust the formular to correctly calculate the decimal hours. Contact ictsupport@macs.vic.edu.au for assistance.

Total work hours = the number of hours (or part thereof) for scheduled class time for the teacher and/or duties in lieu of those scheduled class times. For avoidance of doubt, duties that are defined as professional expectation in the CEMEA2022 should not be included. Extra's allocated should also not be included.
