2	The practice exams from third parties sometimes have a strange scaling - they are harder so they give you 'extra points' - understanding your % correct and evaluating that and how that compares to an "AAMC Exam" is probably more important (although may be an underestimation). Third-party exam scores are hard to coorelate to how you will do on the real deal because you are 1.) studying and 2.) have a different feel than the AAMC (are often too detail oriented/tricky/more difficult so the real exam feels "easier" but don't neglect proper review and don't "add points" to your third party exam performance to make yourself feel better. Why you make mistakes, how to improve upon them, and also understanding the real raw % correct --> scaled score from practice exams as if it was an AAMC exam is beneficial. This raw to scaled converter is an approximate that can help you convert your AAMC Sample Exam and it can also be used for other sets of questions you do from other resources if you are interested in seeing "what will this score be". If you use this converter for a set of practice questions - this is not a real depiction of your score in a section as one set of questions does not accurately depict the full coverage/distribution of material that may show up on a section of the MCAT. This sheet also helps you understand and guage how many you can miss for certain scores on the real exam and on practice and how far you are from your next score.
