Trump Cabinet Confirmations Blockade
created and managed by Indivisible Washington State (formerly Pantsuit Washington State Chapter)

The hearings for the Trump cabinent nominees begin the week of 1/9/17. By scheduling multiple confirmation hearings, a budget 'vote-o-rama', and the first Trump press conference since the election all on the same day (Wednesday 1/11/17), the Senate GOP is working to prevent any one nominee from dominating a news cycle and creating enough public outcry to block confirmations. Don't let them succeed.

In addition, in the rush to get nominees into hearings it was revealed by the Office of Government Ethics that not all of the nominees have completed the background and ethical review process. This is an absolute must to ensure Senators hearing testimony are able to do so having full information on the nominee's political/financial entanglements and confirmation from the OGE that this nominee has passed being vetted for potential ethical conflicts.

Please review the nominations spreadsheet and contact Senators today, and as often as possible, throughout the hearings to let them know your concerns regarding the potential confirmation of these cabinet choices. There have already been effects from the calls with several hearings moved or rescheduled - your voice, your calls, and your participation matter!
