Student CouncilThe purpose of the student council is to allow students to develop leadership by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects. In addition to planning events that contribute to school spirit and community welfare, the student council is the student body's voice. Jazz BandPHMS has a Jazz Band! Jazz Band meets twice a week after school. Jazz Band performances will include, but are not limited to, Jazz Festivals, Jazz Café, Formal Band Concerts, and other community events. Marching BandMarching band is an extracurricular group that prepares a show for competitions and performs at various competitions and performances throughout Indiana. National Beta ClubThe National Beta Club is a service-leadership club open to all 7th & 8th grade students who maintain a high level of scholarship. All candidates must earn at least A/B Honor roll for membership consideration. The purpose of this organization is to provide opportunities and experiences enabling students to demonstrate character, achievement, service, and leadership ideals. All students who meet the academic requirement and who are of good character will be invited to become members. Winter GuardWinter Guard is an extra-curricular group that meets during the late fall and winter seasons. Students audition for the group and participate in rehearsals and contests. Drama ClubDrama Club offers students an opportunity to explore the world of theater. Students will rehearse in order to perform productions for the community. This is open for performers, as well as anyone interested in working backstage. Bully Prevention CommitteeThe Bully Prevention Committee was established in 2013 by a group of parents and students following the anti-bullying legislation that Indiana put in place. The goal of the Bully Prevention Committee is not only to educate but to advocate for students who have been exposed to bullying either as a target or bystander.
