ConventionGeneral GlossaryA weekend gathering of BBYO teens, often with a specific theme, typically at a camp, hotel, or retreat center. Every region has different conventions that they host each year that may be focused on leadership, connecting to Judaism, or building sisterhood/fraternity.

CouncilGeneral GlossaryFormed by several chapters in the same area. Multiple councils make up a region, but not every region has councils. Some communities are council-predominant while others are regional-predominant, meaning the executive board is either council or regional.

CounterpartGeneral GlossaryA resource on the council, regional, or international level who works with you to help you be successful in your board position. For example, the chapter S'gan/S'ganit would have a council/regional counterpart who is the council/regional S'gan/S'ganit.
