Cosmic Consciousness The Cosmic Consciousness club includes star gazing, learning about current events in the universe, and spreading awareness about light pollution. The club will provide a community that fosters curiosity relating to our universe. By organizing star gazing events and hosting informational meetings, we can create a space for students to connect with each other and share their passion for astronomy. Additionally, the club will raise awareness about air pollution and its impact on our ability to observe the night sky and events. By educating our community on this issue, we can promote initiatives to reduce pollution and advocate for cleaner air. Tam Habitat Restoration This club will help allow access to easy community service and connections with the park rangers in charge of the habitat restoration at Stinson Beach, Stinson Gulch, headlands, and other areas nearby. We also will help clean up invasive plants and help biodiversity at tam. We will do land site projects, talk about the history of the sites, teach about different types of plants and animals, and mainly, help promote our ecosystem in the best way possible. Tam Harvest ClubThe Harvest Club will organize the collective energy of Tam student to share the bounty of local produce (fruits and vegetables) grown in backyards throughout Marin County. We will map out where apples, lemons, pears, plums, and veggie gardens are ready for harvesting, and work with local residents to share this food with the community. Tam High RestorationThis club will be monitoring the state of Tam High, and will be identifying “problem” areas that need work. After this process, the Tam High Restoration club will be focusing on those areas and “restoring” the school. We’ll do this through landscaping, painting, picking up trash, replacing old signs, and possibly even gardening or planting flowers/trees! Funding will come through bake sales and donations.
