I would like to see a grassroots effort to recognize local teachers for the interesting ways they are transforming learning despite the negativity of the common core. I'd like to have a unconference conversation about how to recognize and elevate the status of local teachers that still enjoy teaching and how they're shaking up their teaching/learning despite the challenges facing educators today. I want these stories to inspire and renew teachers that are frustrated and feel unsupported in their current educational communities. It's all about perspective and if we want to change the way the larger community views our profession, we should take this unconference to collaborate and network with like minded individuals and those on the fence that want to take make the education world a better place. http://www.herricks.org/webpages/dentonlab/ http://setsig.iste.wikispaces.net/csouthardSpecial Education/Inclusive Technologies, Project Based Learning, Digital Storytelling, Blogs, Twitter, Comic Strips, Wikis, Google Apps for Education, Making Global Connections: Using Social Networking to Make Educational Collaborations Around the Country/World. 8/19/2014 12:00:05Teddy HillsCo-Founder of Nutmeg Education, a blended learning tool to help teachers with the Common Core.

I'm trying to build a teacher tool that truly helps teachers, and that's why I'm trying to talk to teachers as much as humanly possible!
YesWhat tools teachers are using for assessment/exit tickets/quizzes, and also how they're approaching differentiation and what problems/difficulties they run into.www.NutmegEducation.com@NutmegEducationUsing Nutmeg Education to differentiate instruction!A bit about Nutmeg education:

We help teachers with differentiation by automatically creating tailored playlists of Open Education Resources (like Khan Academy videos and games) and practice questions to help students where they need it. We create these playlists from either digital assessments that teachers create and deliver through Nutmeg, or through existing assessment platforms in a school district like PLATO.
