Free Button Up Workshop, Thursday, October 23, 7-9 PM, Weybridge School
Come learn about how to, reduce your fuel bills, save energy, and make your home more comfortable.
Licensed contractors will help with information and hints on buttoning up your home. Financing options will be discussed.

Button Up VT Day of Action Saturday,November 1, 8:30-Noon
Receive a free home visit which includes installation of a free door sweep (the insulation that goes on the bottom of the door to reduce air infiltration), a free LED bulb, and free information on home energy audits. Limited to the first 12 residents who apply.
We need 12 volunteers to go out in teams of 2 to install the door sweeps and provide the bulbs and the literature to the residents. Two contractors will train the teams before we go out.

8:30-9:30 AM: Training for volunteers at the Weybridge School
9:30-Noon: Button Up Home Visit Teams of two will visit 12 homes to install door sweeps and provide information and LED bulbs
Noon: Lunch provided at Weybridge School

On Saturday, Nov. 1, The Brattleboro Film Festival will be showing two short promotional films about Button-Up Day before a feature film about the Gulf oil spill called “The Great Invisible” at 6:30 pm in the Latchis Theater 3. I will be introducing these films, co-leading a discussion afterwards, and staffing an informational table in the lobby.
