SCIP Platform Adjustments:
SCIP Process Flowchart
2
WHYArea of Focus (data-informed, site specific): Area of Focus (data-informed, site specific): Racial discrepancy in Susp/Dis amongst SoC (especially AA) / Racial discrepency in academic performance / Need for CRI to engage students in who they are and allows them to show up as their authentic selves.None.
3
Root Cause Summary (Iceberg, Fishbone or other tools)
1. To address the racial disparities with behavior and academics, we must create a shared responsibility for all staff to enage in Restorative Practices. 2. To meet the needs of our wide range of learners, our staff must differentiate to create learning experiences that are balanced between content and Social/Emotional Learning/Community building. A prioritization must be place on the fact that learning needs to be real, relevant and rigorous and classrooms must have a focus on building relationships with ALL students. 3. We need to strengthen our systems in our foundations classes and our content classes to better support Restorative Practice work and community building by providing professional development, ongoing support, data and accountability.
4
Theory of Action (Desired Reality):

1. If we focus on (1) Restorative Practices (2) SPPS Math Review/Number Talks (3) Differentiation through Strategy Small Groups and through Research-Decide-Teach Conferences in Reading and Writing (6-8) and
2. Support these focus areas by prioritizing and leveraging school and district systems/resources by providing job embedded professional development, PLC/Team collaboration time, clear structures for foundations classes and coaching support and
3. Monitor our implementation by conducting routine walk-throughs, analyzing coaching and professional development data, Monitoring PLC progress, and conducting quarterly formative data digs using staff/student data (PLCs, assessmets, surveys, campus behavior/academic data and other qualitative feedback;
4. And engaging stakeholders by providing clear access to school continuous improvement information, offer supports and courses for new staff onboarding, continued partnership with families through our Parent Advisory and Climate Team, ongoing updates/transparency of progress through our Murray website/newsletter/community engagement events and creating showcase opportunities for both staff and student learning." Student Learning Outcomes:Update:
6
1Schoolwide Goal:Universal Goal (all students): The percentage of all Office Discipline Referrals (ODRs) out of class will decrease by 25% and the disproportionality of race with regards to suspensions/dismissals will decrease by 25% as measured by Campus Discipline Records and monitored at least twice per month.Current Goals are Universal in nature (in referance to all students and for Math/Reading based on Statewide Annual Assessments)

Keep Universal Goals and include a Complementary Goal:
-measured by local/district interim assessments to be monitored multiple times throughout the year
-inform student growth and impact of teaching and learning throughout the year
-aim to close learning gaps/root out inequities based on disaggregated factors

Examples: Complementary Goals Mathematics;
Complementary Goals Elementary Literacy
Complementary Goals Literacy Middle Grades 6-8
Complementary Goal High School Literacy

Guiding Questions for setting Complementary Goals based on data:
-What student group is being most impacted by current reality? conditions?
-Who's been served/not served? Who's shown growth/not shown growth? What will we do differently? e.x. DL learners who did not experience in-person instruction? EL Learners? Freshmen? Seniors? Female students? 6th graders? Students receiving specialized services? American-Indian students?

Grounding source: 'We need to learn our way to more equitable schools...via collaborative inquiry process' Leading Together / Rooting Out Inequity Through Collaborative Inquiry, Educational Leadership, Feb. 2021)
7
Complementary goal (based on disaggregated factor(s) & local/district assessment):
8
2Mathematics Goal:Universal Goal (all students):
The percentage of all students scoring proficient or higher in mathematics will increase from 19% to 24% (18/19 - 35%) as measured by the MCA III/MTAS Math Assessment administered in April/May 2022.
9
Complementary goal (based on disaggregated factor(s) & local/district assessment):
10
3Reading Goal:Universal Goal (all students):
The percentage of all students scoring proficient or higher in reading will increase from 40% to 45% (18/19 - 46%) as measured by the MCA III/MTAS Reading Assessment administered in April/May 2022.

Adjust/ActSummary of what was accomplished and goals for the department heading into next year. AP/Math Lead2022-06-03In ProgressMurray’s math department focused their SCIP and PLC goals on implementing the core components of EBP Math Review (Number Strings/Math Talks/Safe Openers). All team shared resources and started each lesson with one of the Math Review options to generate discourse, mathematical thinking and peer-to-peer learning to address current and previously covered concepts based on gathered data. The team experimented at different levels with the Data Walls process using the provided quarterly benchmark assessments. District math team encouraged teachers to use this year to get familiar with Data Walls with the expectation they are administered during the 22/23 SY per the SCIP complementary goals. Their goals heading into next year will be strengthening the EBP Math Review components of Error Analysis and Assessment.
