Description: Interested in caring for the trees in Soundview, Bronx? Come on down and join the Stewardship Team for a day of giving your neighborhood a little TreeLC! Volunteers will be trained in best-practices and street tree identification techniques. Come dressed in sturdy shoes or boots, long pants, and clothing that can get dirty. You will be trained in street tree ID and proper tree care, if you need it, a service letter can be written for you.

|2017 GreenThumb Youth Leadership Council||Volunteering||March 6, 2017||GreenThumb is a division of NYC Parks that provides programming and material support to over 500 community gardens throughout New York City.|
GreenThumb is pleased to announce its third year of the Youth Leadership Council (YLC) program. We are looking for high school and college students to volunteer! The YLC is a free program designed for high school youth 14-21 years old and college students to volunteer in a GreenThumb community garden located throughout the five boroughs.
The program will take place from May-July 2017. Participants are required to volunteer at a garden at least twice a month, accumulating a minimum of 20 service hours.
