The water shortage occurred due to the failure of the main well three months ago. In response to the WASH Cluster alert, PUI immediately started water trucking to support the affected communities. IRC also supported the affected families through hygiene kit (HK) distributions. Currently, partners are working on the rehabilitation of water sources; however, these interventions will only partially address the needs. We have recommended rehabilitating the old damaged borehole, but this requires a high-level technical assessment. At present, none of the partners have the required technical capacity or budget to undertake this work or to drill a new well.

we observed a significant accumulation of solid waste affecting 95 IDP families at Al Kadarah IDP site. While your ongoing project in Al Turbah supports IDPs and the most vulnerable communities, it is important to address the accumulated waste through a one-time safe disposal in parallel to prevent further public health risks. the upadted on this that we worked with two parters BCFHD and GWQ to realcocated soem resources that can ocver this gap .

There is a significant water shortage in this area, particularly affecting the IDP sites. Around 164 households do not have safe access to water. As the WASH Cluster, we requested the CCCM Cluster and the CCCM partner to prioritize these WASH needs, as no WASH partners are currently available in this area. Therefore, CCCM funding was considered the last available resource to cover these life-saving needs. We have already endorsed their plan, and implementation will start as soon as possible
