Now I am back in a state takeover setting, which I fully signed up to return to, but I thought after all these years things might be different/ better with the stressful surveillance culture and it’s not. The way we observe and give feedback to teachers is not working and it drives people away. I want to be a part of the transition specifically because of the current insistence on continuing to use RELAY GSE and Uncommon Schools models of coaching and evaluating teachers at the high school. It has not been effective, it is not a good work environment and therefore it is not a good learning environment.
