flubbernuggetJukebox Hero by Foreigner https://drive.google.com/file/d/1YPIMQEobKk-SLTbYwSdWzWyZSGOv61B8/view?usp=sharingFirst of all, I'm so glad you were able to submit in the end despite your illness. And ouch, when I imagine trying to sing THIS while sick, my throat hurts in sympathy. I want to send you so much chicken soup now. Anyway, the actual song shows off what an incredible and versatile singer you are. Your power and range and technique are out of this world, and you bring so much passion and energy to everything you sing. Randomly, I loved the falsetto near the end and then how you switched to a raspier sound--it was a great little stylistic choice. This was such a challenging song, and I think most of your insanely high growls and screams were wonderful, but there were a few of the "one guitars" etc. where it felt like the yelling would have sounded better if it was a bit cleaner and more on pitch--however, those notes are so high and brutal on the voice that I respect the attempt even if it wasn't 100% perfect every time. I also suspect some of the times you went for the lower octave on "jukebox hero" were ducking out of the high notes, but tbh, you earned those rests with everything that came before. Although I'm sad you didn't get to sing this when your voice was in better condition, even a Flub at 50% capacity is still awesome. Excellent job, and I envy the people who get to see you perform live. For being sick when you did this and pushing through a really tough time, you have my sincerest applause for what you pulled off. I really really really liked this. I hope you get the necessary votes to get to the finale because you did a great job given everything you have gone through. Best of luck :)I'm glad you went for this one because it's so much fun, and it's very fun hearing you tackle it. You shine on notes like "one guitar." That said, it's a uniquely challenging vocal part and I know you had some trouble with illness during the entry period. I can kind of hear it coming through in some aspects of the song, just having a little trouble giving this song the power it demands during certain parts, and going down instead of up for certain parts as well. So it's a shame, but I think this performance is weaker than the others. You really put a lot into this and made it enjoyable (that final falsetto was damn nice), but under different circumstances I feel you would've done better.

Haschel CedricsonBlack Water by Doobie Bros https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wByZsk3AdLALz9q0ue38otJDpZmPZDq3/view?usp=sharingThis is just such a treat to listen to. You know your voice so well and are such an artist--although you don't do anything super complicated technically with your voice, you have a great higher range (your falsettos are excellent), and you're pitch-perfect throughout this performance. And you really capture that laidback Southern rock vibe of the song. You also do a phenomenal job with the layers at the end. At this point, I almost take it for granted that your songs will have good harmonies, but you outdid yourself with the ending. There's so much going on with all the different overlapping vocals at different pitches that are all blended together that I regret that I'm not enough of a musician to fully appreciate all the work it takes to execute them. Honestly, I don't have any real criticisms, other than the competition is so tight this season that I need to decide how heavily to weight musicality, skill with vocal layering, and sheer enjoyability against raw vocal technique and singing ability. Please keep recording music, because you bring something special to every song you do.I honestly thought I was going to hate this. But you made it work. I think it was a pretty good choice and you did your thing on it. I don't know what's going to happen with voting, but I think there are people who are going to love this and people who think this is a safe choice. I'm somewhere in between. This was neither your strongest nor your weakest performance. I do wish you well and if we see you in the finale next week I am ultra interested to see what you do.Whoah, the vocal rhythm is totally different from the original here (during the verses anyway)...it works though! This song is such a great match for your voice and style. You hit the folksy twangs pretty well ("raft"), and there were maybe a couple words here and there that weren't super duper spot on, but nothing even really worth noting. I LOVE how the ending a cappella part came out, especially the deep part (which has always been my favorite part of this song). This was a very very solid performance, great job.

lilith2013Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again from Phantom Of The Opera https://soundcloud.com/user-989649182-237388472/phantom-of-the-opera-wishing-you-were-somehow-here-againIt's great to hear you sing something that was originally written for your vocal range, because your voice really shines here. You sound so light and delicate and pure, and you hit those high notes so effortlessly (especially that last "goodbye"!). I think you also had better control of your tone and pitch this round. And I love the change in dynamics and build-up of emotion in the final chorus, although my only incredibly nitpicky stylistic criticism (you can tell I don't have much to criticize! :D) is that I think it'd have been more powerful to sustain the "strength" instead of going down in the final chorus. You've grown a lot as a singer over the past two seasons, and I hope that the audience appreciates the skill and technique required to pull off what you do. Excellent job!I think you sounded just lovely on this. Honestly your voice and Phantom of the Opera go together like peanut butter and jelly. I really had a fun time listening to this and thought you nailed those upper notes. There's not a lot to critique and at this point of the competition that's usually good. Should you make it into the finale, I would ask you to push yourself. Yes we know you can do broadway and do it well, but do you have anything else in the tank? I wish you the best and look forward to seeing what you do in the finale if you are there :)This is honestly a very solid and appealing take on this song, great job. You nail the rhythms, which are a little odd at times. I think you especially shine during the melancholy verses, which is lower than you usually do and where I hear you selling the emotion the most. I also like how you handled the big part at the end, and was glad to hear you hitting that final note just right as well. If I can criticize anything, it's that something sounds the tiniest bit off with some of the big notes during the second chorus (the word "strength," eg). It's kind of hard to articulate what it is, just that it sounds like perhaps you were struggling a bit to get there. It's a small complaint, really. You did awesome work here.

SkeldaI'll Follow You Into The Dark by Death Cab For Cutie https://drive.google.com/file/d/18zqilw1HDdHV5E9Yagd-gOHwSSQvNEBH/view?usp=drivesdkWow, you sound absolutely beautiful here. As always, your tone is very warm and rich, and you're so good at expressing the emotion of whatever song you're singing. I love the points where your voice almost sounds like it's on the verge of breaking with all the emotion it's carrying. I wish that a couple of the really high notes at the end were a bit more supported ("the blackest of ruins", "embarks"), because if it weren't for that, this would have been flawless technically, but this is still another one of those memorable Skelda performances that will stick with me. You're an incredible singer, and I am so so glad you entered this competition.I mean my goodness you surprised me. I did NOT think this would be a good match for you at all, and yet you pulled it off. I've been really impressed with you the last few rounds. This was kind of refreshing and not what I was expecting you to nail. Really this was a good choice and you pulled it off. If you are in the finale, keep it up, because I think you have a good chance at winning the whole thing! You really made this one your own! It's fun to hear it done in your style, and I especially like how the second chorus came out ("sou-oh-oul" was awesome). Felt like the emotion built up there for you. There are a couple small stumbles, like on "blackest" and the last "embarks," but overall I like the liberties you took here quite a bit. And kudos on how you handled the "rooms" note!
