1. Process Goal/Research-Based Strategy:Identify struggling sped math students during the summer in order to increase amount of support given throughout the year. Reading specialist will identify struggling 11th grade special education students from 10th grade data and give extra reading support throughout the year before the 11th grade SOL tests.

5 The Reading Specialist will also identify struggling 11th grade SPED students from 8th-grade data for placement into a special English 9 Academic section with an increased focus on reading comprehension. She will identify 11th-grade students from 10th-grade data and provide extra reading support throughout the year before the 11th grade SOL tests. ELL students will also be identified and extra help given so students can be successful on the 11th grade reading/writing SOL or the work keys test.
