1. Make a copy of this document and rename it.

2. Enter your budget information for each line item that applies to your organization. You can use the quantity and cost per columns to calculate the total cost of each line, or you can enter the total amount for each line in the total column.

3. Only edit the light yellow cells. Pay attention to any warning messages asking you not to edit cells.

4. If you need additional lines, add rows in the place indicated. If you follow these instructions, the formulas will update themselves automatically and you won't have to change them manually.

4. If you see a calculated cell turn red, that means there's an inconsistency in your spreadsheet.

5. Make your spreadsheet public so you can link to it from your annual plan or grant application.
