RIP - Re Investment PlanInterest compounded quarterly but paid when the FD Matures
13
FD - Fixed DepositInterest paid every compounding period
14
CCompounding (12/periods per year) - annual:1, 6months:2, quarter:4, etc
15
MNo. of Months (auto calculated)
16
17
1When creating FD, set Last Updated to FD Creation dateNext update will automatically reflect next update date based on compounding
18
2The amount total is always only active FDs. i.e., if an FD has matured, it won't be counted against the total amount in the header row
19
3Interest is counted at compounding interview for both FD or RIP, even though it may be paid at end of term for RIPSo, for FD, on the next update date, you'll be paid in your bank ac. For RIP, you won't, so you';ll have to add the interest for that period into the year column.
20
Calculations (col:X) is what the next period will provide in interest. For FD, it's fixed, for RIP, it looks at principal + previous interest paid. Essentially, this is the interest for the next quarterly period - which is what you add o the year column.
21
4For last interest payment for FDs of odd months (25 etc) - just copy sum from interest left
22
5
Formulaes for FD and RIP are different so copy the row type you want when new FD is created and change the values.
23
ActiveFD/RIP is active.
24
ClosedFD/RIP has matured - at this point you can use the finds generated from this FD due to maturity to create another one.
25
Needs update in 10daysgoing to generate interest in the next 10 days
26
Needs update in 25daysgoing to generate interest in the next 25 days
27
28
6
Some cells are automatically calculated, always check whether the cell should be modified or not before editing it. This is different for RIP/FD rows so never mix one type sheet with another.
29
7Always select all rows and colums and always sort by col L
30
31
8
Don't touch the last year column for interest. When you need to update the last year's cells, add a new column to the left of the last year. then update the year. This will update all formula's correctly
