Participate in Fix Your Content Day
26
27
On Tuesday, November 18, join institutions worldwide for Fix Your Content Day 2025. Boise State will be participating in this 24-hour competition with other institutions to fix as many accessibility issues and course files as possible using Anthology® Ally . Efforts like this are part of Boise State’s ongoing commitment to improving educational access and student success. To participate, use the Ally tool on your Canvas pages to make accessibility updates; Ally will track changes made and tabulate the total for the institution.
28
29
Ally is an accessibility tool that is built into Boise State’s Canvas sites, providing accessibility indicators throughout as well as an in-depth accessibility report. Every fix, big or small, contributes to a more effective learning environment for all students.

How you can help:

33
Turn On Canvas Ally For Your Course
34
Review your Canvas courses for red and orange indicators using Ally.
35
Focus on quick wins like adding image descriptions (often referred to as alt text) or improving Microsoft Word documents (Microsoft’s internal accessibility checker is incredibly helpful). Update your Google Slides, Sheets, and Docs with Grackle.
36
Start fixing on November 18 and keep things going throughout the day.
37
Try to amend any flagged content to have it reach 100% accessible, but improvement is what counts!
