Introduction

Choosing a good mix of armor to put on a ship can be difficult. These consoles do not stack the way other consoles stack, and give diminishing returns. To choose a good mix of armor, one must see how each affects their ship's damage resistance.

How to Use

1.The first thing you need to do if you want to use this spreadsheet is to make your own copy of it. To do this, select File -> Make a copy. Keep in mind, your copy will not be updated when I make updates to this spreadsheet, but it will list the latest version and provide a link where you can find it.

2.Go to the calculator page. Select your armor consoles, along with their mark and rarity. There is also a portion on the page where you can select if you have certain accolades, input skill ranks, and determine if you want to see your resistance with or without a variety of abilities active. From there, the spreadsheet automatically calculates the rest.

3.If you ever think you broke your copy of this spreadsheet, just get a new one!

What This Does Not Do

1.This cannot show you the resists you have on your shields. Those are never shown in the UI anyway.

2.This does not guarantee absolutely 100% correct information. I make mistakes (on rare occasions), so some figures might be incorrect. I did try to catch those mistakes, but I don't know if anything slipped through.

3.This does not provide any services unrelated to reputation in Star Trek Online. Sorry, but it won't heat your coffee, make you awesome at PvP, or do other things besides help you determine the best combination of armor consoles and resistance abilities to fit your needs.

DR:(Damage Resistance) This is the percentage of resistance your ship has against incoming damage.

DRR:(Damage Resistance Rating) This is the amount of protection various items and abilities can grant you. These values are added together, and used in the formula to calculate your DR. This has previously been called Damage Resistance Magnitude (DRM). The DR calculated from DRR can never exceed 75% of whatever amount remains after DBRR.

DBRR:(Damage Bonus Resistance Rating) This is similar to DRR, but is used in a different portion of the formula. This can exceed 75%, but is still limited.
