| Transfer Center | 4/30/2020 | Great numbers. I appreciate the attempts to do so much outreach/inreach and offer programming more convenient for part-time working students, since we know this is the majority of our students. | Would like to have info on if/how the program extends to Petaluma Campus. I know there are some workshops, but it'd be great to have more Transfer Center presence there.
| Currently, the program is not extended to the Petaluma Campus. In the past, the Transfer Center Director offered counseling appointmnets once a month, but students were not utilizing the appointments. To still have a presence on the Petaluma Campus, the Transfer Center staff did collaborate with Our House and the Student Success Center to offer workshops and then provide one on one counseling and we did experience a higher rate of participation. We are not opposed to revisiting offering specific Transfer Center services on the Petaluma Campus and will speak to the Special Programs as well as the counselors on the Petaluma Campus regarding the best days/times to serve students.
| 4/30/2020 | In summary, the project is targeting students who may experience a harder time understanding the transfer processes, agreements and application deadlines. Great to see all the work done to ensure our students are connected and engaged with this important step of our students' educational goals. | I wonder if besides the in-reach activities, are there any plans to do presentations to our local high schools? In my experience working with high school students, I often encountered situations where students wanted to go to a four college, but opt-out not to do so because of various reasons. One that stood out the most was the limited knowledge of how the JC can help them transfer. In particular, with first-generation college students. I think this type of presentation would be beneficial for our high school students. | We do visit local high schools to inform Juniors and Seniors of the services provided in the Transfer Center if they decide to attend SRJC after high school. We have focused on presenting to the AVID classes at Analy, Rancho Cotati and Elsie Allen. We were also asked to present to Sonoma Academy and Summerfield Waldorf. In the future, we would like to expand the presentations to Windsor, Healdsburg and Piner high schools.

| 12/18/2020 | Transfer Center is doing a good job serving target populations and improve student success rate. | I am interested in seeing transfer rates for all DI groups. Transfer data usually are delayed in publishing, but even the prior year comparing to prior prior year will be helpful to see progress. Is that possible to show in data sheet? | The office of institutional research has begun developing a data visualization for its website that will show the institutions SRJC students transfer to by demographics. We hope to have this completed in spring 2021. There will be minor limitations in that student specific information (i.e., ethnicity, gender, etc.) is only retrievable through a matching process with the National Student Clearing House that works with only (roughly) 90% of 4-year colleges.

| 12/18/20 | Amazing connection points! I liked the stat about higher GPA for these students comparted to the overall District. | How do you track which colleges or universities students transfer to? How has moving to Bertolini 2nd Floor affected the program? | Tracking which college a specific student transfers to isn't easy because each student would need to report it back to us. We do attempt to gather this information by surveying students who received application assistance in the TC, but it is really dependent on the student taking the time to return the information to the TC. This also would not capture every single student because we know not all transfer students utilize the TC. We do receive transfer data from each of the systems on how many SRJC students transfered to each specific campus and in which major. The UC and CSU systems provide this data usually in early spring each year for the previous year but California Indpendent and Out of State campuses are generated through the Chancellor's Office and it can be a bit behind, currently we can get data for 2018-19. Moving to the second floor of Bertolini had a huge impact on the TC. The amount of foot traffic increased immensly. Just being in a space that is easly seen by students brought them in to ask questions and make an appointment to speak with a counselor or university rep. Being across the hall from EOPS and the Counseling departments makes the TC very accessible and enables counselors or staff members to walk students over.
