7/19/2014 10:10:29Teacher are overwhelmed with trying to get into Common Core, new tech, new science standards, etc. Tech is one more thing they HAVE to do and it's scary.Administrators w/out tech as a priority -- focused on other things and bigger picture.High school teachers stuck in stand & deliver teaching methods rather than integration. Spending too much time supporting "the stuff" and how-to that there isn't time left to figure out how to make it work with the curriculum.

Spend a lot of money on technology purchases, but need more on Tech Training & supporting infrastructure to support new devices, ie - does internet work properly? Are teachers experiencing more frustration than elation with new tech and suggested systems.Stuck at the teacher level, to even get the to check their e-mail. To get teachers to think differently. Figuring out the best ways to get teachers to transitions from paper-based to digital techniques and make the transition. RE-DESIGNING the Lesson, or just scrapping the lesson and making a new one.Have a lot of interest in technology & not just spending money on equipment, and really take time to do the the training.

If people who are comfortable with tech overwhelmed, how are we expecting less-confident users to manage it all?Managing people and systems. Too many different systems, things are always changing, keeping up with what's current.

Re-organize the schedule to allow for exploration and collaboration. Build it into the schedule so teachers of similar disciplines can have similar free periods to collaborate.Focus attention for the effective use of technology. Transitioning from one to another use of technology.Administrators don't have access to classroom to try new things. Development of a PLC to provide resources for teachers to try new lessons and where?
