5	Buccaneers	Mrs. Singer & Mr. Miller	Mondays, 6:00-8:00pm	Band & Choir Room	Buccaneers is a show choir that combines singing and dancing. They perform several times throughout the year at school and community events. Auditions are held in the spring for the following year.
6	Color Guard & Majorettes	Ms. Parrish & Ms. Stapel	As announced by advisor	Band Room	Open to all Perry High School Students through auditions held in April or May each year. The Color Guard and Majorettes perform for football games, band shows and local parades. Practices are held starting in June through the end of the football season after school hours 2 days a week. See Mr. Hruska with questions about participation and upcoming auditions
7	Creative Writing Club	Mrs. Mielke	Tuesdays during ICE	Room 350	This is for anyone and everyone who loves writing (creative, graphic novels, poetry, song lyrics, etc.). Stop by for a place to write and be supported by others. You can focus on your own project or focus on group projects, prompts and writing activities. We will focus on various opportunities throughout the year (such as NaNoWriMo, author Zooms, writing contests and more!).
8	Crew Club	Mrs. LaBoe & Mrs. Horton	As announced by advisor	Varies	A club for students of all abilities to explore recreational, leisure, and social opportunities with the support of caring friends.
9	Debate Club	Mr. Martin	Tuesdays and Thursdays 7:00am-7:30am	Room 262	Debate Club is the place where all students’ voices matter. Students will learn to argue with confidence, research like a pro, actively listen to others, and work with teammates to tackle big questions and issues. No experience needed—just an open mind and a willingness to speak up.
10	Environmental Action Club	Mrs. Trentanelli & Mr. Soeder	As announced by advisor	Varies	Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive recycling program across Perry Local Schools and at community events Plan and implement Community Green Day, an environmentally focused day of service that seeks to build collaboration amongst local school and community organizations.
11	Envirothon	Mrs. Olix	Mondays after school	Room 204	Envirothon is designed to stimulate, reinforce and enhance interest in the environment and natural resources among high school students. Students learn about wildlife, forestry, soil/land use, aquatic ecology, and environmental issues. Students work with other students to develop their knowledge of ecology and natural resource management. Students will have the opportunity to work as a team and compete against other schools in the spring.
12	eSports	Mr. Britton	Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 2:30-4:00 pm	Tech Hub Room 604	Our high school eSports team combines competitive gaming with teamwork, strategy, and school spirit as we face off against top players across the state and interschool.
13	FCCLA	Mrs. Bezzeg	Tuesdays during ICE	Room 200	Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a dynamic, student-led organization that connects classroom learning to leadership, service, and real-world career preparation.

15	Intramural Basketball	Mr. Frazier	Dec. - Feb. Wednesday & Thursday	PAC Fieldhouse	Any Perry high school student in grades 9-12 that is not participating in a Perry high school winter sport may participate. Any skill level is welcome. Students will be placed on a team.
16	Investment Club	Mr. Andrejack	Fridays, 7:15-7:45am	Room 252	Can you beat the stock market? There is an online Stock Market Game that competes against other teams of student investors across the country. This is a great opportunity for students interested in investing or who might be pursuing a degree in Finance.
17	Jazz Band	Mr. Hruska	Wednesdays, 5:00-6:30pm (Jan.-Apr.)	Band Room	Performing instrumental music ensemble that specializes in jazz literature, including rock, swing, ballad, and Latin styles.
18	Junior Class	Mrs. Koch	As announced by advisor	Media Center	Junior Class officers plan for fundraising and planning for school events.
19	Makerspace	Mrs. Mielke	Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 2:30-4:00pm. Busing is available and needs to be scheduled through Mrs. Mielke.	Room 350	Students can make and design their own projects (or learn how to make something with the help of Mrs. Mielke, Mrs. Haase, or Mrs. Tetonis) using a variety of art supplies and tools. Projects include ceramics, drawing, jewelry making, resin, journaling, painting, book binding, embroidery, making clothing, mugs, tumblers, button making, knitting, crochet, and tons of other fun things. 20	Pickleball Club	Mrs. Burke	Thursdays, 3:00 - 5:00 pm	Concord Sports Plex - Transportation Available	Pickleball club brings together students to learn, play, and enjoy pickleball, offering opportunities to develop skills and build community. The club provides a space for players of all skill levels to connect, grow their game, and foster a love for the dynamic sport that blends elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis.
21	National Honor Society	Mrs. Rodriguez	As announced by advisor	Room 356	NHS is an honorary organization rather than an extracurricular activity. Students perform at least one service project, recognize scholastic achievements of other students and raise money for a charitable cause by some type of a fundraiser.
22	Outdoor Club	Mrs. Olix	As announced by advisor		The PHS Outdoor Club is a student oriented club that focuses on outdoor activities. The club promotes interest in the outdoors by providing opportunities to participate in various outdoor activities and to teach our participants to become stewards of the environment. One of the clubs main goals is to get out and explore the northeast Ohio area. Past experiences have included hiking, ziplining, kayaking, charter boat fishing trips on Lake Erie, snowshoeing, making maple syrup and learning about the outdoors. The idea is to invite students to join us on our adventures, if they are available. We are always looking for new adventurers and new ideas.
23	Pep Band	Mr. Miller	Selected home basketball games as announced	PAC	Student will perform a variety of marching band music for 8 boys and girls varsity basketball games. The group will meet prior to the games to rehearse.
24	PSL Green Team	Mr. Soeder	As announced by advisor	PSL Room	Join PSL leaders as they work to address recycling needs in our school and community.
25	PSL Kitchen	Mrs. Trentanelli & Mr. Soeder	As announced by advisor	PSL Room	Join PSL student leaders as they prepare weekly meals for Project Hope for the Homeless, Forbes House, and other local agencies that serve the poor and homeless in our community.
26	SADD	Mrs. Soeder	Wednesdays during ICE	Room 307	All students are invited to join SADD where we promote making healthy choices, taking care of ourselves, and making our classmates all feel welcome. SADD students meet every Wednesday at ICE to plan for upcoming activities and get to know one another a little better. Come join the fun!
27	Science Olympiad	Mrs. Markiewicz	Monday & Thursday 2:31-3:31pm	Room 208	Science Olympiad is an engaging, hands-on science and team-building club that competes in 23 different science/technology related events. Perry's Science Olympiad team will compete against other schools at invitationals (in person and online) with the goal of competing at the state tournament in the spring. Go Science Pirates!
28	Sewing Club	Mrs. Bezzeg	As announced by advisor	Room 200	Sewing Club is a student club open to any high school student that brings out creativity in the areas of fashion, sewing, and/or interior design. We are lead by our members and create various DIY projects.

31	Student Council	Mrs. Koch	Wednesdays, 7:15-7:45am	Media Center	Perry High School Student Council allows students to participation in school affairs and merge interests of students, faculty, and administration. It strives to give students the opportunities to suggest and implement ideas for school improvement and foster better school spirit.
32	Students for Change	Mrs. Hunter	Fridays, 10:40-11:00am during ICE	Room 311	The Students for Change Club is a safe and inclusive space for all students. We believe that everyone deserves to be celebrated for who they are, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression. Our club fosters a community of empathy, understanding, and mutual respect, where members can share their experiences, find support, and build lasting friendships. We organize events that promote education and awareness about LGBTQ+ issues, celebrate the diversity of our members, and advocate for a more accepting and equitable school environment. Join us to be a part of a movement that champions love, equality, and the right to be your authentic self.
33	Theater	Mrs. Hunter	As announced by advisor	Goodwin Theater	The Fall Play & Spring Musical is an opportunity for any student to become involved in one of the most rewarding activities offered at PHS. Students new to the high school will find participation in the fall play and spring musical a comfortable and accepting place to be involved with new classmates. Auditions are open to all students regardless of whether or not the student has taken any theatre classes or worked with a previous production. This includes both acting and technical participation.

35	World Language Club	Mrs. Rodriguez	Two half-hour meetings per month	Room 356	Celebrate holidays (i.e. Mardis Gras, Oktoberfest and Cinco de Mayo), watch foreign films, take trips to visit the target culture, create authentic products of the culture and any other activities that students may elect to do as a group.
36	Yearbook	Mrs. Hunter	As announced by advisor	Room A311	Creates the yearbook for PHS...responsible for photos and stories of the schoolyear.
37	Zen Journaling	Mrs. Mielke	As announced by advisor	Room 350	An open lab in a space full of unlimited supplies for journaling, sketching, creating, and making mixed-media art! Prompts will be given to inspire you or you can work on your own projects and ideas!
