Stanford University Mathematics Camp (SUMaC). Standford Medical Youth Science Program. WOW Engineering Conference for High School Girls, on March 26 and 27WOW! That’s Engineering is an award-winning conference that has garnered approximately 90+ high school girls in attendance the last few years. At the event, attendees will get to learn about different engineering fields through a series of workshops and design activities hosted by industry professionals. Some notable companies this year are Intel, Abbott, Northrop Grumman, Edlyft and more! Our keynote speakers and college panelists are excited to share their experience and give valuable advice. We also have an optional engineering design challenge, with judges from Valley Water, where students can present their solution to water conservation issues and win prizes such as Nintendo Switch Lite, Kindle and Echo Dot. This is a great opportunity for high school girls to make new friends, understand what it takes to be an engineer, and consider their academic options in higher education.

Spring Zoom Health Science Program, due February 20This Spring, our non-profit Impact Internships is running our Health Science Immersion Program (HSIP) through Zoom where over the course of 9 Saturday afternoons high school students gain an introduction to the health sciences field. Students will be hearing from a great array of graduate students, research professors and health professionals as they learn more about the academic, research and professional components of the health sciences. They will also have the opportunity to take workshops on various topics like college admissions and work on a group research project. The program takes place from Feb. 26th to April 23rd through Zoom, and all class years can apply. Students can choose from two sessions (1 - 4pm or 4 - 7pm) and the Spring application deadline is February 20th.
