Cost-effectiveness analysis - Alcohol taxation
3
4
This workbook estimates the cost effectiveness of increasing taxation on alcohol in an average sub-Saharan African country. All monetary figures cited in the workbook are in international dollars. See main report for full details of the cost-effectiveness analysis. To edit the workbook, please make a copy. The workbook is organized as follows:
5
6
CEA - The main cost-effectiveness model, including the overall outputs of the model incorporating uncertainty analysis.
7
8
Uncertainty analysis - The sheet to run the uncertainty analysis, and the results of each simulation.
9
10
Histogram - A histogram of the distribution of the benefit-cost ratios estimated in the uncertainty analysis.
11
12
CEA point estimate - a model which estimates the cost effectiveness using the central estimates of the input values (no uncertainty analysis). Testing the impact of changing model assumptions will be easiest in this sheet.
13
14
CEA with counterfactuals - a model which estimates the cost effectiveness using the central estimates of the input values, including input values for cofounder and fundraising counterfactuals.
15
16
DALYs - Data on the DALYs due to alcohol consumption broken down by cause.
17
18
Economic impacts - Estimates of the economic impacts of alcohol consumption.
19
20
Africa alcohol excise taxes - Estimates of the existing alcohol excise tax rates in sub-Saharan African countries.
