OxfordStartEverything I envision using ImageJ for was covered by the course, it was very good. Could perhaps include more examples that involve manipulation of stacked images.

OxfordStartThis course was a great introduction to imageJ/Fiji. Though it would not work for this introductory course, it would be great to have a follow up course that only focuses on Fiji Macros.

Oct-2020
OxfordContinueI thought the interactive exercises and practicals were very useful and help was easy to get, if needed. I also liked the section where you discussed other ways to improve your images e.g. mounting media, microscope settings etc.

Oct-2020
OxfordContinueI really enjoyed the entire course and the balance between explanatory introduction to each session followed by the practical part each day. Lior Pytowski gave great explanations and demonstrations of the software and was always happy to help with any issues/questions we had throughout which was really helpful. I would continue running it as it is!

OxfordContinueIt was good to have the exercises because it made us try things rather than just listen to what we should do
42
Oct-2020
OxfordContinueI thought the course was very well explained and I found everything easy to understand. I hadn't had any previous experience with image analysis before this course so thank you Lior!
43
Oct-2020
OxfordContinueI liked the mix between lecture and exercise. I would spend more time on the basics before moving to the machine learning part (I would definitely keep it though).
44
Oct-2020
OxfordContinueThe practical exercises are the best part of the curse by far in my opinion.
45
Oct-2020

Oct-2020
OxfordContinueOverall this is the most enjoyable and useful course that I have attended so far. In terms of structuring I thought that the format of a lecture followed by exercises was very successful. Being able to ask questions as we completed the exercises was extremely useful. Additionally, the resources (in terms of lectures and exercises) were brilliant - making it easy to follow the various topics through from theory to practice. The range of topics covered was also impressive, and the references to further reading and resources (such as various online forums) make me feel as though I can easy pursue further the techniques we learnt about should I need to. All in all the course was very comprehensive, understandable, and supported by excellent resources and teaching from Lior. Thank you!

Oct-2020
OxfordContinuePractical tasks had great instructions and explanations, and were very useful. Maybe having even more potential tasks to do and allowing people to choose and perform the most relevant ones would be even more useful while not requiring extra time and information during the presentations
49
Oct-2020
OxfordContinueI do enjoy the practical session.
50
Jan-2021OxfordStartMore advanced sessions. More interaction during the exercises.
51
Jan-2021OxfordStartThe course is very comprehensive and addressed a broad range of topics. Perhaps a short optional slideshow available for download covering the very basics of the software might be a helpful addition.
52
Jan-2021OxfordStartmaybe a bit more practise on using macros - perhaps introduce earlier in the course with the option to write them for following tasks
53
Jan-2021OxfordStartReally enjoyed the course. I learnt new stuff about ImageJ (which I expected) but also about microscopy, which I've been doing for years. Very helpful. There are lots of things that could be added, but I think that the basics are covered very well and after all it isn't possible to cover everything that everyone want to do. Maybe some additional sections like using Fiji to prepare images for publication (although this was touched on). Maybe some specific workshops (say co-localisation) where people could work through a particular interest. Lior might end up having to do teaching full time though! One thought - as this is all being delivered on line (for now anyway) would it be possible to record the course & let attendees have a copy? There was so much information it would be very useful to be able to review it again later.
54
Jan-2021OxfordStartPotentially add an 'introduction to ImageJ' by looking at the general tools that are available, adding scale bars etc. It would also be helpful to have some real life example exercises, which give hints and tips on how to tackle the most common image analysis problems
55
Jan-2021OxfordStartAll things are good.
56
Jan-2021OxfordStartEverything is great for me
57
Jan-2021OxfordStartThe videos explaining the excercises and solutions would have been useful for the entire content of the course.
58
Jan-2021OxfordStartMaybe to add some exercises without guiding and/ or solutions to help us think by our own and to better understand if we understood or not the concepts.
59
Jan-2021OxfordStartMaybe spend a bit more time on the very basic essentials of ImageJ to complete and utter beginners, with some info on a pdf maybe with super simple instructions.
60
Jan-2021OxfordStartI cannot think of anything to add - the course was very well thought out
61
Jan-2021OxfordStartI would make the lectures longer but covering the same amount of material. I feel that a lot was seen during a very short period of time, and I think that a bit more time to digest and assimilate everything by making the lectures slower would be great.
62
Jan-2021OxfordStartHow to mount a movie after a time-lapse experiment in a publication format A bit more interactions between participants during the exercises could be nice too, and keep a good dynamic for more questions
63
Jan-2021OxfordStartI think some extra or more extension exercises to complete after the course would be useful to reinforce what we have learnt.
64
Jan-2021OxfordStartI liked it
65
Jan-2021OxfordStartNothing much, it was a very informative course. It would be nice if the ppt presentation uploaded as videos on canvas was available as pdfs as well (if they already are, never mind then). Some examples/images with single cell fluorescence staining looking at intracellular components would have been more relevant to me but I know that might not be the case for everyone and I still found the content relatable to my situation.

Jan-2021OxfordStopI think the course was well done and does not need major changes, maybe slow down the pace of the lectures a little.

91
Jan-2021OxfordContinueThe course was very insightful and enriching. The practice exercises helped understand the concept and its application better. Lior was always there to help and address any questions/issues one had.
92
Jan-2021OxfordContinueThanks for a very informative and practical course. The instructor was helpful and approachable and had clearly put a lot of effort into the presentation, and the practicals were well thought-out and accessible.
93
Jan-2021OxfordContinueThe mix of taught lecture followed by exercises worked well, the exercises were easy to follow, applicable to the sort of analysis I'm likely to do in the future and really well explained .
94
Jan-2021OxfordContinueI learnt a lot! Lior is a very good communicator and presents the topics in a well thought out and logical manner. There are also plenty of links to explore topics further, which is very useful.
95
Jan-2021OxfordContinueI really enjoyed the style of teaching - the short lectures that went over the session, followed by the exercises which gave us an opportunity to try the methods ourselves. I also thought the content of the course was very well tailored to tackling the most common image analysis problems, and I really like the printable cheat sheets as well.
