About

This document contains the algorithms for a concept for CFOP and CFCE called Misoriented Pairs. During the last slot of the first two layers, if the last pair edge is misoriented, the corner and edge can be paired up using just U and R moves. Then the pair is moved above the 1x2x2 on the right and placed in the back right slot (dBR). This creates a pseudo F2L that is corrected during either the OLL or CLL algorithm. The sets are called AOLL and ACLL.
3
Advantages
4
- Reduces the move count.
- Allows for pure 2-gen solutions.
- Prevents rotations.
5
Disadvantages
6
- New algorithms to learn.
- New recognition patterns to learn.
7
Recognition
8
- AOLL is shape based, similar to OLL.
- ACLL is TCLL+ recognition. This is for the algs in the doc when dFR is the last slot and the pair that belongs there is instead placed at dBR.
