Traditional Group Discussions
This is more of a guided traditional group discussion. The class is divided into groups of 3. Each group gets a laminated discussion card. These cards have a very general topic that can be applied to any subject within a content area. Examples are: 3 Definitions; Draw a picture; 2 Positive Effects; 2 Negative Effects, etc. Each group has about 4-5 minutes to discuss/ document the subject of the day. It's been good a facilitating talks between students, and differentiating instruction, as well.
