Datasets on race only cover the categories of Black only, white only, Hispanic and LAtino only, and Asian only - meaning each category is a single race. According to the 2020 US Census, almost 34 million Americans are multiracial. Other categories of single races also exist, such as indigenous races, but these are not included in the dataset. The dataset on residential segregation only includes calculated variables to compare white people with Black and Asian people, respectively. There is no calculated for Hispanic/Latino people.
