AmeriCorpsAmeriCorpsOffers opportunities in the community for those who have an interest in Disaster Response. The participant will support an organization to make sustainable change in areas that effect poverty, including education, public health, climate, access to benefits, and more. Through activities such as fundraising, grant writing, research, and volunteer recruitment, participants will gain professional experience and leadership skills. This opportunity prepares a participant for a life of service in the public, private, or nonprofit sector.

Job CorpsJob Corp EnrollmentAs a Volunteer, a participant will live and work alongside community members on locally prioritized projects, receiving a living wage and other support as they immerse yourself in a new culture. They'll build relationships, exchange knowledge, and help transform lives for generations. Participants will also receive transition funds to help a them settle upon their close of service. Job Corps: A free education and training program for low-income youth. Locations in Oregon include Astoria, Estacada, Glide, Portland, Troutdale, and Yachats.

NW Youth CorpsNorthwest Youth CorpsNW Youth Corps: An education and job-training experience that helps youth and young adults from diverse backgrounds develop the skills they need to lead full and productive lives. Programs include residential conservation crews, local community crews, an internship program, and LGBTQ and Spanish-speaking crew opportunities. Offers opportunities for ages 15 to 26. Includes residential conservation crews for both youth and young adults, local community crews, community wildfire protection crews, an internship program for college aged participants, and a fully accredited high school.

Serves Youth ages 16 to 24 who want to earn while they learn. Offers a non traditional school based programs, paid training while earning a short term certificate, intro to pre-apprentiship, GED and more.

PYB (Portland Youth Builders)Portland YouthBuildersYouthBuild is PYB’s flagship program of academics, vocational training courses, counseling, career development, and long term support. Along with the Bridge program, YouthBuild is a relationship-based program rooted in equity and designed with students’ best interests in mind.

This program runs year-round and students attend full-time, five days a week. Serving:
-Ages of 17 to 24.
-Those needing to finish high school.
-Who would like to pursue a career in construction or technology.
-Are motivated to make a positive change in their lives.
-Are ready to commit to working hard to achieve their goals.

The Bridge program is a nine-week digital pre-apprenticeship program with hands-on construction experience that gives you preferred entry into apprenticeship programs and pays youth a stipend while they learn. It is designed for ages 18-26.
