2 "sites"--75 students from 6 schools at each

Staff post their participation to a padlet

random winners are picked from each category

Students--snack competition--create GS themed snack; decided which books to order extra copies of for next year

Just somethign fun--posts daily: recipe, art project, walk through a musuem, scavenger hunt, etc.

Learning opporutnities--local websites like Durham Museum, Omaha Zoo, author sites for read alouds, Code.org, NASA, PBS, etc.

Ex. For week of May 4th--Star Wars--actors doing Star Wars read alouds, the science of star wars, origami yoda bookmarks, lego challenges

Studens design costumes that fit a book characters--post in Flipgrid, then others guess who the character is

Students take the aesthetic of a book cover and choose their clothing to match the theme, colors, etc.

Staff members send clips to librarian to stitch together into a video

Checking in conversations, playing bingo

Answering questions about what can/cannot be used and how to share

Teachers are including librarians in their virtual chats with students

Can post pictures completing challenge to social media or email to librarian

To walk through how to use tools and resources

Lincoln Public Schools is posting daily learning challenges online created by school librarians

continued to host weekly technology information sessions

Using physical books dropped at student homes or using online versions

Choice challenges for staff to complete: read with family member/pet; read a book you've always meant to; share fave book quote; share special reading memory

Students/Parents can request books to pick up weekly. Works for some schools where staff are able to enter their buildings

Earth Day, Star Wars Day, May Day, Poetry Month, etc.

Specialists create a choice board for students to complete that includes all specials areas
